Traffic from Parked Domains?

I have a keyword domain that is getting 18K searches locally per month.
Does total monthly searches equate to "traffic"?
Is the 18K searches good enough to park the domain?

Just park it and see if you get traffic.

There is no correlation between monthly searches on Google and traffic to a domain. I would suggest you do as Traveler suggested and go ahead and park the domain to see if it gets any traffic and/or clicks.
