Are the sites developed? If so, 1000 pageviews per month is very low. If they aren't, check Google by typing in site:*****.*** where the stars represent the name and the extension. If you don't get any results, it's likely type-in traffic.

Without knowing the theme, I'm going to just ballpark it at $0.20 per click and assume the traffic is type-in. Note: It's very much possible it may be considerably higher if related to insurance, lawyers, web hosting,... Check a high keyword PPC thread (there's a few on NP I believe, and many elsewhere on the Internet).

With that assumption, let's assume a 5% CTR (clickthrough rate). At 5% CTR, you'd be looking at 5 clicks per 100 pageviews --> so 50 clicks per month assuming 1000 pageviews.

So our formula is: 50 clicks x RPC (revenue per click) = 50 clicks/month x $0.20/click = $10.00/month

It's reasonable to pay 3-5 years (36-60 months) revenue, so you're looking at approximately $360-$600.

**NOTE** It's assumed that this is type-in traffic, if you believe this is not the case, then the name is worth a fraction of what I just appraised it as.

lets assume that the domain is not developed. it is type-in traffic or may be some typo traffic. (frankly i do not even know what most of those names mean.)

1. please tell me 0.20 is the generally average earning or just the minimum level? (i am going to park it on sedo. any other service?)

2. the 5% CLick through rate seems pretty reasonable in my opinion

3. also, i have heard that the country of visitors also matters. i know chinese traffic pays very less RPC. any other country i should avoid?

thanks. i am a newbie to traffic names. ;)

1. I'm not sure what the nature of your domain is. If it's targeting an American/European audience primarily (i.e. an English word/words), it likely will get around $0.15-$0.25 as a minimum. Average amounts are somewhat useless because a few terms go for $10+ per click and that seriously skews everything upwards in that direction.

2. Yes, if you use Sedo to effectively target ads specifically relevant to your name, you should be able to hit 5%.

3. Yes, you're right. There are vast differences. If your name is English, you won't have much to worry about, as most of your traffic should come from "quality type-ins". Granted people are typing in the name, there's no need to restrict it to certain markets, as if you do that, you'll just miss out on the lower paying clicks -- which are still extra money afterall.
