IELTS ( English Exam) is a registered trademark

So I cannot register IELTS.SCHOOL for example?

Or I can register it and write a disclaimer such as in ieltsbuddy dot com

I see that the IELTS is there in many .com Domains already...

Your advice is appreciated

Thanks

Will you be providing services in the same field?
What country(ies) is the trademark applying to?
What class(es) is the trademark for?

I don't need to know the answers these are just for you to look into.

With a .SCHOOL extension it be hard to argue that you're not providing services in the same field as what they probably do and there's a good chance you will appear like your 'passing off' using their name.

It's up to you, but I would stay away from this one.

Simply, STAY AWAY if you want to re-sell.

Take a risk if you want to develop (put disclaimer)

IMO.

I suppose providing training on that subject maybe considered a legitimate use. So as suggested above, go ahead but with a proper Disclaimer, maybe on the bottom of every page.

I remember a similar case as to GMAT, wherein a Domain Holder "gmat.___" who was providing email services with that domain, i.e. name@gmat.___.... Domain Owner was just asked by GMAT people to provide a Disclaimer !
