I updated my TD store on the @toughdomains platform. I have been very pleased with their product. Has anyone else tried ToughDomains? Obviously each domain has its own landing page. You can create multiple stores for your entire portfolio. Within each store you can create categories. I absolutely love this feature. I am able to add custom text to my store if I want to, which I do! I can add as much or little info as I want. It feels completely customizable . . . mostly:) I dont have to pay TD any commissions for sales. They are linked up with Escrow.com.

For those that use other products, have you tried TD? And for those of you that love your current product as much as I love mine, what features do you have that you love?

I tried the version that offers 20 names free at TD. It was interesting, and I still have an open account with them. The difference I saw was that they include 3 "adsense" text boxes to the landing pages, along with some RSS streams for news (you can select from different types of news feeds like sports or world news, etc...). For the Free account I had, I think it was a revenue share on the adsense, but I never made anything (to be fair I only tried it for a few weeks so perhaps if I gave it more time...). They did have some good statistics/reports/charts.

I have been using Efty, and purchased an annual subscription (if I renew will depend on if the Efty developers can give some upgrades that are needed to their service).

I will re-visit the TD Platform again. Will point 10-20 domains over there this weekend and see how they go after a few weeks...

Regards,
DN

Initially I had also looked into the Adsense with Google, and I was not approved for an account. I suppose if you already have one, it is worth using it for your domains! It is all traffic driven right? If people are visiting your sites and clicking, you are making money? What have you averaged per month in revenue at other places?

I am not the most technical person, so it has been great for me using TD. I also have an acct with Efty. I think they have a solid product. I think people find some features more useful than others. I think having the domain store along with categories along with the stats, I would want that wherever I had my names. Now that I have had that experience, to go without them seems silly.

Ofcourse at one point and time auto locks and wndows were extra features on automobiles, but now they are the standard, the norm if ya will! I see TD being ahead of the curve with all those extras as standard features now. To be fair, I havent shopped "cars" recently to see what features are now standard in the marketplace;)

I looked into these services and others as I had been parking my domains (ended up with most of them at ParkingCrew), but the revenue generated for 1 month for about 100 domain names on PC was 759 unique visitors with 40 clicks for a grand, whopping total of $1.84 in revenue!!!! I had an unused Wordpress hosting site that I instead decided to develop in order to have control over how everything looked - and also because I have had a few clients for broker services. I have a Google Adsense ad on the new site and have earned about 15 cents the first week - 765 page views with only 1 click. Basically - Google Adsense isn't going to make you much.

As has been discussed in many places here on NP, creating good landing pages for your domains will, in the long run, be better value than any ads or clicks, as the ultimate sale of our domains to end users is the goal. It looks like Tough Domains has good landing pages, although for sites with not much traffic history, having the traffic stats isn't always a good thing.

Good luck!

I agree about the traffic stats. You can turn then on and off! Funny thing about traffic, in today's climate what is considered great traffic?

what specific features are you looking for?

regarding adsense we realize adsense is not for everyone. However when we tested adsense connected to our news pages resulted in much higher rev than parking. We have since released the ability for you to run any ad on your domains. so you can sell your own ads or run affiliate banners or just info on your domain portfolio.

Yes, I actually noticed this today while trying to point some more domain names to my TD account. This is a very cool and nice feature! One question regarding this feature is it appears it is either one way or the other. All Google Adsense, or All Customized Ads (applied to your entire list of domain names). Is it possible to have some domain names Google, and some domain names Customized? I suppose you could just make them all Customized, and include your Google Adsense as one (or two) of the three Ad Boxes...

Another question is how to make my own Domain Store? When I go to DOMAIN STORE, next to "CONNECT DOMAIN TO STORE" it says "COMING SOON" -- is that because I only have the Silver Account? Or is the feature somewhere else?

Thanks,
DN

I put my 20 name limit on TD, The platform is spot on, But, Having to use feeds that are standard, not related to the domain names niche is the part i don't like,, The paid option may just what the Domain Dev Doctor ordered, I have yet to try the paid option, I would like a two week trial test on the paid platform to work with it, and see what results it brings, I need relevant feed to my names, I need auto twitter and social media posts, Those are my two main "Gotta Haves" Can the paid version on TD provide that for me is the question, This not ToughDomains fault by any means, But the mere fact that i have limited time, For a free, Plug and play platform, ToughDomains does the job, I would love to get a two week trial of the paid version to see the real power that TD can deliver. If it can deliver, It would most definitely be worth the monthly subscription fee.

Anyone have an example they can show me on the paid platform? PM me if so

good question however adsense has so many policy restrictions with related content around there ads that we designed it to be all or none in order to avoid violations. If you have less than 20 names and are not trying to go around the free account limits you could have 2 accounts one for adsense and one for custom ads.

regarding domain store the store is already created when you add domains.. the system automates most of the tasks for you after you ad names.
in domain store you will see a "public url" which is the url to your domain store. we are working on mapping the url to a custom domain should be completed by end of this month.

For now as a work around but we offer a redirect service, so if you have a name pointed to our DNS you can simply redirect the domain to the store url...
here is an example www.bigboxdomains.com

yes the pro account allows you to connect any news feed to any domain so if you have a domain about stem cells you can add a stem cell feed or even your own blog
here are some instant domain development examples
http://stockholmstemcells.com/ with stem cell news and custom ads

and another example with seattle consulting bids
http://seattleconsulting.com/

here is an example pulling in our twitter feed into the domain
http://1stg.com/

if you want to add multiple rss feeds you can use rssmix.com to combine many feeds into one.

agreed nothing will beat a well developed domain!
however it would take years to develop thousands of names and we wanted to provide a solution to instantly develop hundreds of names in seconds while you finish up development of names...I think a micro site with custom feed and ads is better than a coming soon page or the godaddy parked page....its just another option. Also in the past I made the mistake of selling names that were well aged and had considerable traffic for cheap...this platform will provide much of the basic info you need within 24 hours of buying a new name to help you price a new domain correctly before a quick turnaround flip.

wanted to provide an update on our pricing plans. Some users expressed they dont want our domain development product and just need the marketplace store. So we now have a store only price plan that is $5.95 a month for 2,000 names. you get all features except the domain dev, adsense and custom ads.

We still have the always free plan for 20 domains.
