I believe that .top will beat .com / .net / .org / .biz / .info / .pro & all other .xyz's in it's popularity / importance and numbers of registrations because:

• nothing can beat the term 'top' in it's meaning
• top means top means top
• it's the 'soul' of economic growth trying to get on top
• the day when there will be no company which would dispense a .top domain will come
• a TLD called .top can't be topped from it's word importance and the importance of a word is the sense of a word and top is the ultimate term to describe what is on top
