It's over. Dotster and its company, MyDomain periodically do this kind of promotion, so keep your eyes and years open (It's pretty safe to say you'll know about when it's happening if you read Namepros often).

And like two other people in this thread, I got it at the last hour (4PM, Pacific time)! I tried getting one at 10AM and 11AM frantically refreshing my browser, but I wasn't fast enough both of those times (one minute after the top of the hour, they were GONE!).

To my pleasant surprise, I won a few minutes after 4PM. Perhaps people misunderstood that 3PM was the last hour they were giving away domains, because they said the promotion offer was "9AM through 4PM." :p
