Ok Guys & Ghouls need your advice, I have paid (a nice price might I add) for the rights to a great e-commerce and marketing solution system that is very much like 1shoppingcart.com/.

Now we have used them and the system is great, Just hated paying so much money each month knowing that we can do it for cheaper.

So found this script and all is well now, we can use it for our sites and pays it self off in 1st years usage. Also resell membership to the system and make money.

The site that we are currently setting up is

www.1stcart.com

We want to ensure that our image is professional and shows our potential clients that we are a company to stay with and order our services.

Not we are setting up the main sales pages explaining our services with the same layout as our index page. This is for all Pre-Sales info

Then we are using Mambo45 CMS as the support and client area and post-sales support

So for the "pre-sales" pages we are thinking of going with a Better Flash website then the one that is on there now.

Should we go Flash?

Should we Stay with a nice HTML website?

We can go 1/2 and 1/2, like the template that's on the site now, Flash header with a HTML body?

Your advice will be great

Thanks Guys & Ghouls
Auggie

def, dont do all Flash, especially if you are trying to market CMS. I mean, dont get me wrong, i can build forums in Flash, its just a flash site isnt for you. I would go half and half or static, but its up to you. Good luck :tu:

Thanks Ideviseflash, And no offence taken, I rather hear it from your guys and not get any clients hitting or staying on my site because they feel the same way :)

What about the portal part.......was that ok..........Maybe a simple splash page and let them go right to the main section

hmmmmmmm

I'd go either half/half or no flash at all. I'm not a big fan of flash in most designs, its more suiting to 'showoff' sites where the effects make up for the lack of content.

I think you'd be better with just a static html page. You aren't trying to sell your flash skills, so focus on what you are trying to sell.

Ok here it is we went back the Drawing Boards and came up with a nice index page to connect to our Main CMS system that runs the site.

You guys tell me which you like:

Old with Full Flash: (Which I already know everyone hates :)
http://www.1stcart.com/index1.html

New and Improved 1/2 flash 1/2 HTML
http://www.1stcart.com
(which is the one we are going with, we feel it works well and does all that you have all advised me on.

Thanks again guys
