Good evening
I write scripts for a living (among other things) and to prevent the theft of my code (while at the same time trying to provide a decent demonstration of the scripts in action), I spent several days creating Flash demos of all the script. I also kept the old screenshots for people who still prefer using older browsers.
Now, I get this guy who tells me that my screenshots and Flash demos are really horrible and that he wants to be able to test the script himself. I pointed out to him that once the script is posted, there is nothing to stop someone from copying it and that even an encrypted script can be decrypted using a browser's DOM. I also asked him if the Flash demos were really "horrible" (ie; poor quality, slow-loading, too slow/fast, etc) -or- if he meant they were "horrible" simply because they were only demos and he was'nt able to interact with them. His answer was simply "both".
I mean, we're talking about a $4.95 script here with a smooth, non-grainy screenshot and a decent Flash demo showing what the script does. I'm not sure wether this guy is just pulling my leg ot trying to get me to post the code so he can walk off with it without paying. Then again, perhaps the Flash demos really *are* "horrible" which is why I am posting this...to ask you folks to tell me what you think and to render an honest opinion.
The scripts are located at: http://www.spriteworks.com . Just scroll down until you see "Our CSS Widgets" on the left sidebar and have a look at some of the Flash animations. I'd really appreciate it a lot and thank's in advance for any and all opinions I get.
