Hi All,

Been a while since I've posted, but I hope March is serving everyone well so far.

I've been seeing a lot of sales of cccc.com from high XXX to low X,XXX in the past couple of months (typically Sedo).

I have a handful that I feel are good, and am wondering if there are tips out there for selling this type of domain (particularly pronounceable). I'm not real interested in heavy discounts to resellers, which is typically what happens here.

Thanks folks.
Dan

It depends on the quality of the pronounceable. Some sell for under $50, others $10,000+. You are selling a brand and most pronounceable LLLL domains are lackluster in that regard.

I like made up word 4L, 5L, 6L and even 7L domains for development, but they are a nightmare for domainers that are active sellers since there are no clear end users to contact. It's all very random and very time consuming unless you are pricing them aggressively to increase the chances of someone buying on a whim.

The "sit back and wait" sellers have the most luck with these types of domains since obviously any end user initiating contact for the domain must really want it. They are the ones selling these for $x,xxx, but at the same time they hardly sell any domains.

That's kind of what I figured. I bought a few "pronouncables" relatively cheap and am just waiting. But when you could use the cash, waiting is tougher. Thankfully I'm patient and always think long-term.

Thanks.

I have over 300 cccc.com and have sold 14 for $5000+ so thats $105,000+ for 5 years of renewals at circa $2100 x 5 = $10,500 a good return ten fold I never sell em less than $5,000.
