I have no idea if this will be of any value to any of you. I want to reiterate I am a teacher. I like to gamble. I jumped into domains one "weekend" instead of going to casino. That is who is writing now!

I use to use sportsbook.com, I believe. Then one day the site was gone. It changed to sportsbook.ag iirc! I was like wtf is this? The point, from my perspective is that a good domain name is a good domain name. Sportsbook.ag was just as good or bad as Sportsbook.com . . .

Do I still like dot com? Yes. I personally like the xyz extension. If I couldn't get delta.com for obvious reasons, I would be happy with delta.xyz if I were using it for dallas educators love teaching all or dubai energy liquidator technology adjustors . . . or something like that.

I look at this as $.99 a domain to gamble. Four hands of blackjack lost in a row is $100. That is also 100 xyz domains. Out of 100 xyz domains, you all think doubling or tripling your money is not realistic?

Might as well "invest" in lottery tickets. You would have better odds.

Sounds like a Namepros contest waiting to happen! Contestants purchase 50 xyz extensions on the same day. They each have 12 mos from date of purchase to see how much profit they can make. Winner gets some agreed upon prize, maybe gold membership here for a year paid by other contestants!

Nope, stay away from these strange extensions, they all fade away after the land-rush and the registrars have made a killing out it
LOL

Stay away guys stay away :p

Stick with dot-com :p

Would love to dive into all the threads with this regurgitated "advice" from some of us we expected to trust and "know" better. I wonder how many poor souls have been left holding the bag year after year and have quit domaining because of it? Shame.

I salute the brave souls whom took the path less traveled to make the internet a better place to visit with domain diversity, whether it .xyz or .icu and do u see .me

Everyone said the same thing about .CO when ..

Amazon bought A.co
Twitter bought no_url_shorteners
Google bought G.co
Such a poor advice.

Why register such long numbers in .XYZ?

There are only (2) reported 4N sales.
1 reported 5N sale. (99999.xyz)
1 reported 6N sale. (123456.xyz)

I can't find anything longer that sold.

It appears 2 of the 3 are available in .COM, and the other was registered last month in .COM.

You are registering 7-9 number domains in .XYZ. Why?
