Three Search Questions..

I'm still trying to figure out how Google indexs sites and lists them in a search. So please bear with me here.....

1) If I registered widgets.com and did a google search for widgets, why doesn't it come up at the top of the list or at least on the first page? Isn't it the most relevant search term?


2) In regards to type-in traffic and typos using .info. Do people ever type in something wrong and use the .info extension? Or do they only use .com.

3) So...If I registered the .info of a .com typo, where would it rank?

1. Google doesn't pay much attention to the domain name, it ranks content: html tags (title tag, alt tag, etc), anchor texts, plain text itself. The more unique and relevant content your site has, the more rank it gets.

2. Sometimes people do such things that you will never dream in your nightmares

3. If you register something like "busines.info" or "realestae.info", you will be a reach man by selling them. Without SEO optimization and/or adding good content to your info typos like those above you wil get plenty type-in traffic but no or little search engine traffic.

In regards to answer #3, would two word .info's work too? Or just one word like you described?
