Is this the end of typos?

many of us are making money on typos...
I noticed however that very often when you type in a typo into your browser, you do not get to the typo domain, but instead a google page ( or another search page) appears and asks:
did you mean........?
and there comes the REAL name of the site and NOT your typo.

typing typ0domain.com into your browser's address bar will land you onto typ0domain.com... there won't be any searches via google unless you are looking it up either through the google toolbar or some kind of google add-on.

That's a microsoft search page. I think maybe you get it only if you are using IE for a browser? For example, if you type missssfit.com in your IE browser...also it only happens if you type a domain that's not registered.

Pass too if you put "domainname.com " with a space, open msn live search.

i don't think it would be the end for typos, most of my typos get gets traffic from direct address type.

the ability to redirect exact url from browser ?men in black?captain internet?.i have domain where that is being done on msn, google,aol,mozilla,all browser i use take to unbranded landing page with search box that say find similar but blocks my url.

typos into a search engine or without a tld at the end might land you at google with a "did you mean"

Dell computers come with software installed that does this. It can be removed. I did a search because I can not remeber the name and found something else on Dells. http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=231
