How much would you say SpecialOffers .com (+.net + org) is worth?
Every store has them and every buyers wants them. Never go out of style.

Name only

Thanks. A smart enduser can make a killing with this name so the name can support a higher price ;)

I doubt there's anything you don't already know - A domain can be too Generic (and all-encompassing in Capture) to be end-user appealing - I think it as a Directory Of Directories (and of course great you have the plurals) Easy to imagine it to be a great Sustainable 'Build' Income generator

It could be developped into a shop online that holds "special offers", deals, promotions, mkt campaign, etc

Yaaaaaaay, $85K so the domainer /buyer can resell it for $350K. No thanks.

How come you are asking for an appraisal if you already "know" it and reject everyone else's opinions?? It's a good name and I was going to appraise, but why waste my time when you shoot everything down that is below what you want? This is an appraisal thread, NOT an offers thread... sounds more like you are trying to inflate its value for a sale...

It's not worth 6-figures.

I'd pass on it for 10k wholesale.

I can offer my opinion like everyone else. Appraisals are for end users and for domainers. A domainer like everyone else buys a bunch of names and hopes that one makes up for the 50 that he has to stop renewing. An end user buys the name and hopes to start a business with it.

In the end the owner decides whether to sell or not.

Opinions and mileage may vary.
IIRC, the singular specialoffer .com was sold for $35k and later for a little less than $20k. Maybe the made a mistake, maybe not. Personally I think the plural is way more valuable, book .com vs books .com.

A domain's value isn't determined by comparable sales.

That's a common myth among domainers.

I've bought domains that sold for 20k for 3k and resold it for 5k the following month.

True, but the value also isn't determined by what I or you think about it. Supply, demand and luck.

If a name is placed on an auction and if the auction receives a lot of publicity and bids then it's probably more accurate than someone's guess on a forum.
