A Snapnames auction that I am involved w/ (now as a bystander) is getting interesting.
The name, Travelquest.com now sits @ $5,000 w/ a little over 2 das to go. It was at $1,710 within the first 1/2 hr, sat at $2,351 for a day before hitting the current bid amt. Somebody wants the name, bigtime, and just took the gloves off. I'm glad the name wasn't my drop. :hehe:

Not all travel names are created equal, and here is a perfect example. I think the name has a great "ring" to it. It's simply unforgettable! If I was in the market for a Travel Domain, and had some coin to toss around, I'd go the distance for it!

You might be throwing your coins into a wishing well.

It would be interesting (if we could) to watch this name and see what ultimately develops.

I will check in a couple of times and give you bid updates. I agree w/ ManicGirl on the ring the name has to it, just out of my league for a name that requires branding.

Also will track the progress after sale and use this as one of the case studies at NameScience.com in a couple of months- when site is up.

:bingo: Except that I put this one in *after* the new system was in place and it probably wouldn't have been avail. :guilty:

But that does bring up a good point. I had 6-7 good names "reserved", that are now open to everyone, which kinda sucks, except judging by the way that Snapnames was going, they probably wouldn't have gotten snapped by them, anyways. Another tough nut to crack, for the small name marketer.

TravelQuest.com would be a good sister site for MapQuest.com -- I wonder if they are the ones bidding on this one?
