Longevica // dot // com
After my first sale (Bookworm), and 2nd that I recently reported (Rewired), I'm happy to share the details of my 3rd larger domain sale for Longevica (actually completed a few months ago)!
Unfortunately it's not as juicy or detailed as Rewired, and there are no longer email interactions to share.
This sale was done via Afternic .. simply one day a few weeks ago out of the blue I received the following email:
"Great news, we have successfully approved funds for longevica (// dot // com). We need you to confirm where the domain is registered by logging into your Afternic Account so we can provide you with the instructions to transfer ownership of the domain."
Within 24 hours I had done all the required steps.
A couple days later the transfer was completed, and on the 8th day after the initial email I got a confirmation the funds had been sent (can't remember exactly when the funds were in my account, but it wasn't too long).
I had listed the domain at $3000 (I didn't even remember the price originally .. lol). After commission it still was a nice sale .. my biggest yet!
It seems it went to an individual with a pre-start-up pharma type project. Making some chemical or drug to fight Cancer!
When I originally bought this domain I envisioned pharma type end user!
I think this was certainly a fair price .. sure one could say money was left on the table because pharma is big money .. but it's essentially a made up brandable and I had no marketing budget or marketplace at the time .. I'm happy with the sale.
Oddly enough these first 3 major sales are from domains I'm not even sure if I would buy at this point a year after starting "Domaining" (as opposed to collecting domains for possible future development). I have been buying significantly better domains at great value the last several months. I can't wait to get everything into high gear!
