thats the greatest talent humans have - adjusting to situations. how do you think people spend 20 years in jail for a crime they never committed?...........people get used to things. if you live in NK, and you've not seen better, thats your world, and it becomes normal to you. when i lived in nigeria, 70% of the time, there was no electricity, and i was used to that. t he way to deal with north korea is not by being more negative(sanctions, threat of military strikes, confrontations). you help them by compromising on your side, to give real peace a real chance. US politics is failing miserably these days, and its so embarrasing. they have the nuke morons! force is out of the question these days, and we're in iraq already. they 've been living with sanctions, so what are the new few sanctions US wants to impose going to do? they've already practiced and learnt how to evade many of those embargoes and sanctions.

Wow, this is interesting! I guess we take things like electricity for granted in the United States, and other western countries.

I agree that sanctions and such will not do any good. We need to make them like us, and help them out, not make them more mad.

In fact, the whole country pretty much shuts down at 9pm.

That is when the hamster responsible for generating power goes to bed. At day the wheel of industry turns only if he is rested up.. and running in that wheel...

Make them more like us? We should never try to make people like us, that is one of the biggest things you can do wrong in trying to help out anybody or any country. They are not like us, they have a different way of life. The same setup does not work for everyone, and I'm not even sure if our current setup is working for us all that well.

Now do I think its good that NK has nukes? No I don't, but then again I don't think it's good that we have them either. We try to force other countries to not get them, yet we sit on the largest payload of any country.

He meant "like" us.. as in "love" us.. not to make them similar to us.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

It's fine that their way of life is different then ours. I just mean that we should be at peace with each other. They can have a different way of life and not hate us as they do. That's what I mean.
