Perhaps antagonism is the 'American Way', possibly as a result of enjoying a relatively unchallenged era of global dominance, and more recently with Trump on steroids; however, as we enter a new era of multi-polarity, that paradigm is changing...

I enjoy listening to Dr El, she brings the receipts, and is not hard on the eyes either :xf.wink:

Ripping off Americans to create a slush fund for his allies. Use American tax money to pay off Trump mercenaries

While PM Carney may be one of the key players, admittedly, the catalyst behind the global shift has been Trump's America First agenda, policies and practice. Trump hasn't learned from history nor is he capable of admitting that his ideas are wrong, a lesson that Europe understands and hopefully will never forget - the ideas that make it go bankrupt in more ways than one: fascism, nationalism, populism...

Ripping off Americans to create a slush fund for his allies. Use American tax money to pay off Trump mercenaries. Wanting to compensate people that attacked our capital is insane. His lawyers and the Justice Department. The justice department are his own people too. So of course thereโ€™s gonna be some type of settlement, heโ€™s decided to pay himself.

Looks like they did it.

Todd Blanche was/is Trump's personal lawyer. The same guy that gave Ghislaine Maxwell a better deal to keep her quiet.

Justice Department announces a $1.7B fund to compensate Trump allies in a deal to drop IRS suit

The Trump administration on Monday announced the creation a $1.7 billion fund to compensate allies of the Republican president who believe they were mistreated by the Biden administration Justice Department.

The โ€œAnti-Weaponization Fundโ€ was announced by the Justice Department as part of a deal to resolve President Donald Trumpโ€™s lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service over the leak of his tax returns.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in announcing the fund in a statement that it was โ€œa lawful process for victims of lawfare and weaponization to be heard and seek redress.โ€

Democrats and government watchdogs immediately pledged to fight what they called a โ€œcorruptโ€ and unprecedented resolution, warning that the arrangement would unjustly enrich people close to the president with taxpayer dollars and open the door to meritless claims of political persecution.

Since Republicans have shown themselves to be pushovers and anti-Americans
Anti American is ushering in millions of illegals and putting them on the government tit, simply for votes.

The democratic way!

So let me get this straight...

Trump refused to release his tax returns prior to election. A partial leak occurred revealing that he paid little to no taxes for years. Trump sued the US government for $10B, and DOJ settled for $1.776B. If correct, that's one helluva tax return IMO.

What about the over 400K other tax returns that were leaked? Are they eligible to receive billions too?

More corruption

It's Monday... oil prices jumped to over $111 today. Is this war really about nukes?

Trump Allows Russian Oil Waiver to Expire

  • The United States allowed a sanctions waiver for certain Russian oil cargoes to expire on May 16.
  • Lawmakers argued the waiver helped finance Russiaโ€™s war effort while failing to lower fuel prices.
  • Analysts believe Washington may eventually soften restrictions again if global energy shortages worsen.

Headlines on clean energy read:

Political and Economic Shifts Cause Massive 42% Clean Energy Slump

  • China accounted for more than half of the $1.1 trillion in global clean energy investment between 2019 and 2025, outspending the U.S. by more than 2-to-1.
  • About $136 billion of Chinaโ€™s investment funded clean tech factories abroad, a deliberate strategy to penetrate new markets and circumvent trade barriers.
  • Global clean energy manufacturing investment fell 42% from 2023 peaks to $155 billion in 2025, with China alone down 70% as market oversupply and US policy shifts drive the retreat.

China Spent More on Clean Energy Than the Rest of the World Combined

  • The Iran war energy crisis is accelerating global clean energy adoption โ€” which means a direct windfall for Chinese firms that dominate solar, wind, battery, and EV supply chains.
  • Chinese companies scrapped $2.8 billion in planned US green manufacturing projects in 2025, a direct response to IRA rollbacks, canceled tax incentives, and new tariffs on Chinese clean energy supply chains.
  • While the US and China pull back, emerging economies are accelerating clean energy buildout as soaring oil and gas prices from the US-Israel-Iran conflict make domestic renewables increasingly attractive.

I'm not going to fish through your post, but I clearly remember you having no problem with that.

Dude.. he actually quoted himself from when he said he did have a problem with it.

No need to fish, single click shows he's right and you're not.

I don't mind disagreements on stances, opinions or whatever. This is just a verifiably fact thought .

If I had to pick a Democrat senator that I think is decent for a Democrat it would be John Fetterman. @JB Lions are you a fan of Fetterman too? Iโ€™m glad he voted against the war powers act.

And China is buying up all the farm lands that MAGA Used to own as MAGA SUPPORTERS are so dead poor NOW THAT they are being paid to be a foreign propagandists...
And there are Chinese sleepers in big cities with biological weapons...
Also don't forget, Isreal too

FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!
That's exactly why maga is so dangerous for the USA .

The card are being reshuffled and we're all a witness to that. A new world order will be established .

Maga makes sure usa will not have a seat at the table anymore. Rome will fall.

Imho, so far China looks to come out on top. I dont like it as its an authoritarian regime but you know... Its not all bad.

Then there's a coalition of some mentally stable counties spread across the world (EU, Canada,Scandinavia, some eastern countries, Australia )who have the money, means and resources to come out on top.

With oil prices climbing, the cost of waging war also increases. This may benefit multi-national and state-owned oil companies (like those in Russia to fund the war in Ukraine) as Trump surges military spending to $1.5T.

The clawback of renewable energy in USA has dampened Chinese investment in American energy projects, however European countries and Canada realize the benefits, not only economically, but also environmentally.

Europe is also steering away from Chinese manufacturers in order to develop domestic capacity, as a ban on Russian oil and gas comes into effect Jan 1, 2027, with some far-right politicians expressing dissent.

I'm not sure it's a competition, but rather a collective understanding of how to survive the 21st century and beyond. If it is a competition, IMO Trump is ensuring that US comes out on the bottom.

Renewables and Fossils mix. I'm a huge fan of the Norwegian model. They are filthy rich.

Like , you have some middle East countries but in Norway... They got a good thing going, for their people as well. Not just the oligarchy profiting.

Oh I agree. That's the main point I guess?

For maga there are only winners and losers. Sane people will try to create a win win.

We both prosper, we both profit even more.

Most of the world gets it. Maga denied the memo.

Agreed, I am not against fossil fuels, but rather fossil fuel dependency. Both have their function and can be had simultaneously.

At the same time, nations are rapidly arming...

In dollar terms per capita, Qatar spends the most on its military, growing from $1,231 per capita in 2006 to $5,428 by 2022, an increase of 340 percent.

Israel follows, rising from $1,360 to $5,108 per capita, an increase of 276 percent. Norway is third, up 181 percent from $1,080 to $3,040.

As a percentage, Ukraine shows the largest rise at 3,387 percent, from $63 per capita in 2006 to $2,197 in 2025, reflecting its ongoing conflict with Russia.

Yup, there is definitely an apparent conflict of ideologies. The Iran war isn't officially a war, it's an executive order, but who is paying for it and who is profiting?

Trump's mantra, "Delivering peace through strength".

The point that Trump doesn't understand is... US didn't get to the top by itself, countries around the world enabled it.

Now Trump is using that hegemony as leverage to pressure nations to bend to his will, a classic predatory model, but not everyone complies with this tactic, nor are they willing to submit to his demands.

For maga there are only winners and losers. Sane people will try to create a win win.

Trump is obviously difficult to deal with personally. This fellow explains how Rubio attempts to help Trump understand using the Russian method:

I have been drifting away from this particular thread because you people are either hopelessly stupid or mentally ill, or both. Case in point: your post.

If a Neo-Nazi supported Hitler for years and then turned around and said, "Well, what he did was politically damaging and could have been handled better," would that absolve him of all his prior statements?

It's hard to discuss what facts are when your definition of a fact so diverges from the common definition.
