We can only judge people on what they have done, not what they might have done, or even what they say they might do.
More importantly, the real danger lies in unabashed hero-worship and idolatry (even among the press), which seems especially prominent on the left these days. The very fact that so many dislike Trump would make war difficult to wage. There would be immediate protests.
As in what I posted about Bush and Obama. War was a hard sell with Bush, but Obama went on his charm offensive and whipped up support for a war that nobody would have supported under Bush. The press fawning over a president, as they do once again with Biden, is far more dangerous than having a loose cannon president. These wars are ultimately created by deep state actors - presidents just put a nice happy face on it all.
Too many Americans have lost the ability to think critically, and actually hold this childish belief that their presidents are superheroes. That was part of the anger against Trump - he upset their comfortable world view of great leaders valiantly protecting us.
