"I have concluded that as a matter of conscience, I can no longer serve him or his Administration," Federal Salary Council Chair Ron Sanders, a Trump appointee, wrote in his resignation letter to the director of the Personnel Executive Office of the President.

"It is clear that its stated purpose notwithstanding, the Executive Order is nothing more than a smokescreen for what is clearly an attempt to require the political loyalty of those who advise the President, or failing that, to enable their removal with little if any due process."

President Trump taking step to make the bureaucracy accountable, like the private sector. The idea that bureaucrats need job protection the rest of America doesn't enjoy is nuts.

here in Texas we had conceal carry passed in 1994.... and open carry followed ... you rarely see anyone open carry... but most everyone conceal carries ... we haven’t had any problems with it .... people don’t act stupid or anything with a firearm here for the most part

Right on, I didn't have too much problem with my black powder muskets crossing the border going to re-enactments and pow-wows, but it felt a little disconcerting travelling thru the States with the knowledge that many were carrying concealed weapons and I had none (except my trusty bowie, lol).

High performance by such employees can meaningfully enhance agency operations, while poor performance can significantly hinder them.

In what other world is it "dangerous" or "ill advised" to remove bad employees. Bureaucracy by definition is unresponsive. Employees who can't be held accountable won't act accountable. A government job isn't supposed to be a lifetime appointment.
