It would seem to me that it's better than dragging the USA into a Civil War or WW3.

The Green New Deal (GND) is a proposed package of United States legislation that aims to address climate change and economic inequality. The name refers back to the New Deal, a set of social and economic reforms and public works projects undertaken by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in response to the Great Depression.

I guess FDR was a radical. BTW in the 1932 presidential election, Roosevelt defeated Republican President Herbert Hoover in a landslide.

GND is a collection of fantasy goals. It would cost more money than the USA could spend.

What I don't get about environmentalist and idealist. If we encouraged people to make practical changes it would not only help the environment but people would be healthier.

1) Encourage local farms / food banks / community gardens.

2) Discourage eating lots of meat.

3) Recycle, recycle, recycle.

4) Build smart homes, make sure each house has an adjacent yard.

5) Grants to upgrade houses for energy efficiency.

6) Solar is a polluter too. Natural Gas is just as good.

7) Employ people to clean the environment. Lot's of work for engineers, tradesmen, laborers.

Lot's of easy to do things that don't require giving fat asses with private jets control of your life.

USA did used special forces to go after B.L.; they chased Bin Laden into PK. The movie 12 Strong dramatizes the events. Armies require support, they don't move instantly.

There are quick reaction forces that can move quickly but they can't operate for extend periods without support and supplies.

Videos help to inform a larger audience, I wouldn't call it brainwashing if you have a better understanding of how the planet's systems interact with one another, of course everyone has to take some responsibility, so personal action is better. I read the Bible, as well as find peace in Nature. Nothing wrong with that too.
