FYI.. the big cherry tree is still there. Trees were not "chopped down" but dug up and moved. Gardens are not plug and play. They need maintenance and change with the seasons. The "flowers" are bulbs and will return in the spring. That big tree is still there and will flower / fruit in the spring.

It's late august in DC, hot and very humid. Roses struggle with mildew this time of year. Trees were moved, new "John Kennedy Freedom Roses" were planted in the ROSE garden.

But there are many people there who are uncomfortable with Sean Hannity's lies and Tucker Carlson's xenophobia. It's just that they are powerless, or feel powerless, and the prime-time stars have all the power.
