Denying the truth makes you a liar or stupid.

Repeating what Trump tells you to, doesn't really help you guys.

Lots of crying in this thread about Conservatives being banned and such. Somebody started another thread in this forum about the wall fund being banned, they didn't understand how Twitter works. It's either not knowing how the internet works or crying.

Iraq officially makes Christmas Day a national holiday

That fundraiser is starting to fail. Had 1 day where it was over 2 million, then 1 million next day, then less that $600,000, then about $350,000. Keeps dropping each day, as expected.

Still not the same issue as the wall.

I agree that felons should be deported. Where itโ€™s complicated is with people who came here illegally, maybe years ago, but are otherwise contributing to their community and local economy.

Iโ€™d still like to know if that was โ€œseededโ€ initially and if so by who...

Denying the truth makes you a liar or stupid.

Needing excuses makes you weak. It doesn't hold up to facts.

I see Gilsan and mr-x picking on 11 year old kids again. I guess taking a break from picking on sexual assault victims.

Shocked to find a liberal gloating about a stock market downturn.

Just pointing out reality, when you were posting how it was up. Don't be shocked, you were being told thru this thread how things would turn out.

Democrats don't want open borders. But they do want to eliminate ICE, change the mission of the U.S. Border Patrol and stop deporting any class of illegal alien

Not true either. You pick 1 person who wants that, somebody not even old enough to run for President, but most Dems don't want to eliminate Ice. You guys need your boogeymans to bring you together.

Most awkward President ever:

"Six minutes later, Trump was on the line. "Are you still a believer in Santa?" Trump asked. When she responded, "Yes, sir," the president added, "Because at 7, that's marginal, right?"

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...ts-despite-trumps-marginal-comment/ar-BBRqGHy

Remember, he didn't actually raise any of his kids, his multiple wives did. It was funny hearing them reminisce about it. Daddy always took a break from his meetings to talk to us on the phone.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has released hundreds of migrants in El Paso, Texas over the past few days, including 186 on Christmas Day.

The local CBS affiliate reported that ICE has released 400 migrants.

Rep. Beto Oโ€™Rourke (D-TX), who lost his Senate bid to incumbent Republican Ted Cruz, is cited in the story as being instrumental in making sure ICE informs city officials of impending releases.

It's weird you and mr-x would stalk an 11 year old kid on the internet, watching their videos, passing them along among Conservative sites. It's really just you 2 posting those videos in this thread.

Everyone wants strong borders. The point of contention is that the proposed wall will be a waste of money that wonโ€™t solve the problem.
Why do Liberals keep saying this all the time? How do you know it won't work if it hasn't been done yet?

3-4 years ago some dumb liberal experts were saying that the wall couldn't physically be built. That's really idiotic coming from an America that put a man on the moon 50 years ago!

Simple common sense tells us that a wall WILL WORK. There are so many examples to show that it works! Here are some examples:

Israel-West Bank: The border wall โ€” actually much more a security fence โ€” was constructed in the wake of the 2001-2002 terror campaign in Israel. Almost immediately, the number of successful terror attacks in the Jewish state dropped by 90%.
Today that success rate is up to 100%

Morocco-Algeria: Morocco fought a bloody insurgency and terrorist campaign sponsored by Algeriaโ€™s and Cubaโ€™s Cold War proxy, the Polisario Front.
The Polisario became ineffective, however, after Morocco built its famous 1,700-mile system of sand berms, fences, mine fields, and ditches.

Cyprus:
It was the United Nations which built a wall dividing Cyprus between the northern Turkish portion and the remaining Greek section after Turkey invaded and occupied parts of the island nation in 1974.

India-Pakistan: India and Pakistan fought wars in 1947, 1965, 1971, and 1999, that collectively killed millions of people. The two sides have had a more than three decade-long standoff on the Siachen glacier and several skirmishes elsewhere along the disputed border.
Because Pakistani terror groups regularly try to infiltrate and wreak havoc in India, India constructed a border fence and wall system to keep Pakistanis out. Thatโ€™s a good thing, because nowhere else in the world could a simple border incident so quickly escalate into nuclear war.

Turkey-Syria: Throughout the 1990s, Turkey faced an escalating challenge from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), a group leading a Kurdish insurgency against the Turkish Army. Indeed, Syria only seriously cracked down on the PKK when Turkey credibly threatened war.

Turkey subsequently reinforced the border with fences, mine fields, and no-manโ€™s land, and it worked. The next 15 years was largely quiet. It was only when Turkeyโ€™s leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan removed many of the defenses and turned a blind eye to border security that the terrorism problem in Syriaโ€”and its subsequent blowback inside Turkey itselfโ€”grew so great.

Saudi Arabia has just built a wall along its disputed border with Yemen to keep Yemeni-based terrorists out of the Saudi Kingdom.

India has a long-standing border fence with Bangladesh to prevent illegal immigration.

Hungary
has built a fence to protect its borders from the recent avalanche of illegal invaders from the Middle East and Africa.

Greece
maintains a heavily protected border with it's long time enemy,Turkey.

Spain
has fortified it's enclaves (Ceuta and Melila) in Morroco.

And one of the most famous walls of all, the Great Wall of China was also built to stop invaders.

IT BLOODY WELL WORKS...

Interesting (if very long) study on unauthorized immigration trends in the US. Essentially, numbers are lowest in a decade. Also, a high percentage of unauthorized immigrants didnโ€™t cross the border illegally but overstayed their visas.
http://www.pewhispanic.org/2018/11/...grant-total-dips-to-lowest-level-in-a-decade/

Good read. Only 6 pages are the study results, the rest are references and methodology.

Trump was so lonely at the White House and wanting a great photo op he finally went to visit a military base!
In Iraq.

Anyone shocked? As if anyone didn't know that was a bogus exemption ...
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/26/us/politics/trump-vietnam-draft-exemption.html

So now what we're going to get a chorus of - "his daughters were making it up" "they're lying"

But while your friends, brothers, fathers, grandfathers, were in 'Nam being shot at and dying, He who was born with his ass on a golden toilet was home winning bowling trophies. How brave of him - to suffer the rugged bowling alley environment while dealing with the agony of heel spurs.

Let that sink in.

And not once in two years has he visited our troops overseas.

This is great - fits right in with the rest of "The Emperor's New Clothes"...

So then our President is a true Coward :coldfeet:
That is what I thought all a long :sour:

The other countries have much shorter borders and less complex terrain. barring the Great Wall of China, and I donโ€™t think weโ€™re going to replicate that! And I certainly hope nobodyโ€™s planning on putting land mines on the border! D-:

Some issues:
  • Expense and complexity of building across a long, contiguous expanse of highly varying terrain.
  • Building a wall at locations with extremely low probability for crossings - necessary?
  • Water on both sides. Most contraband arrives in this country by sea.
  • Are we going to man the entire length? If not, whatโ€™s to keep people from breaching the unmanned sections?
  • Or will we monitor with smart tecnhnology? If so, maybe thatโ€™s a feasible option or adjunct to a physical barrier to begin with?
  • We donโ€™t have a horde of illegal immigrants storming out borders. See my earlier link - illegal border crossings are already down and falling.
  • Impact of physical barrier construction on the local ecosystem. Everything affects everything else.
The wall is being driven by 45s ego, not common sense. Surely that money can be put to better use.

he nevertheless โ€œalways felt that I was in the militaryโ€ because of his education at a military-themed boarding school.

Mr. Trump said his experience at the New York Military Academy, an expensive prep school where his parents had sent him to correct poor behavior, gave him โ€œmore training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military.โ€

Mr. Trump memorably told Mr. Dโ€™Antonio that โ€œwhen I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, Iโ€™m basically the same.โ€

Mr. Trump once recalled giving a teacher at Kew-Forest a black eye โ€œbecause I didnโ€™t think he knew anything about music.โ€

โ€œMy number was so incredible, and it was a very high draft number. Anyway, so I never had to do that, but I felt that I was in the military in the true sense because I dealt with those people,โ€ he told Mr. Dโ€™Antonio.

On his feelings of superiority: โ€œFor the most part, you canโ€™t respect people because most people arenโ€™t worthy of respect,โ€ he told Mr. Dโ€™Antonio.

Perhaps his most revealing statement applies to the time-honored virtue of self-reflection. Mr. Trump is not in favor of it.

โ€œWhen you start studying yourself too deeply, you start seeing things that maybe you donโ€™t want to see,โ€ Mr. Trump once told Time. โ€œAnd if thereโ€™s a rhyme and reason,โ€ he continued, โ€œpeople can figure you out, and once they can figure you out, youโ€™re in big trouble.โ€

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/09/...is-schooling-to-military-service-in-book.html

"When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, Iโ€™m basically the same. The temperament is not that different."

"He wants to be noticed," said Ivana Trump, wife No. 1, who recalled sending [Trump] into a fit of rage by skiing past him on a hill in Aspen, Colorado. Mr. Trump stopped, took off his skis and walked off the trail.

"He could not take it, that I could do something better than he did," she recalled.

Dow up 1084 today, but of course itโ€™s Trumps fault again!. All bad news, Democrats poised to obstruct on Jan 3rd, Must have been the Presidentโ€™s Troop visit that revalued all those stocks. Lol. No wall, Govt shutdown, stalls, nothing positive.

No rationality in stock markets, never was, never will be, especially now with programmed trading chaos.
