This "opinion" by Max Boot from WaPo was written to incite fear. This is why people shouldn't trust the media.

This is nuts: Trump admin is allowing anyone with a 3D printerโ€”including felons, terrorists, and the mentally illโ€”to make an untraceable plastic gun.

3-D-printed guns put carnage a click away

1) DOJ lost a lawsuit, they have no choice to let these blueprints be published.

2) Blueprints to make guns have been available on the Internet since the beginning.

3) People have been making guns in the USA since the beginning.

4) You can't print a complete gun. You have to mill or buy some metal parts.

Was reading about it, yeah, that tweet by that guy is wrong. Trump is actually against it:

I am looking into 3-D Plastic Guns being sold to the public. Already spoke to NRA, doesnโ€™t seem to make much sense!
Donald J. Trumpโ€Verified account @realDonaldTrump 5h5 hours ago

Already spoke to the NRA. So Trump will be fighting hard against this, anything that takes away sales from the NRA/gun makers. This will be one of those subjects Gun Control types and the NRA will actually be on the same page on. Strange bedfellows. Just thinking, it's kind of funny, that now the NRA will want some gun control, when it's guns they can't control.

JOE SCARBOROUGH SCOLDS TRUMP SUPPORTERS FOR NOT FACT CHECKING TRUMP WITH GOOGLE

MSNBCโ€™s Joe Scarborough scolded Trump supporters on โ€œMorning Joeโ€ on Monday for not using Google and the internet to fact check President Donald Trump on issues.

โ€œWhy donโ€™t people โ€” why donโ€™t my friends and family just turn on the Google machine,โ€ Scarborough said. โ€œJust crank it up in the backyard. Crank up the Google machine.โ€

Could someone help me please... I've been on Amazon, E-Bay, AliExpress, AliBaba and all over the internet and I just can't find a "fact checking Google Machine"

Maybe they don't sell them outside the US. Or maybe I'm doing the search incorrectly...

So I assume you would be OK if that business chose not to run content promoting birth control, transgender events, etc. The same principle applies. The same principle would also apply to a cake shop that chooses not to write Happy Wedding Day Mike and Bob on their cake.

Iโ€™m fine with a privately owned publication not allowing certain content in their publication. Preferably theyโ€™d have a well written policy explaining for clarity what they do and donโ€™t include. Their lawyers should look it over to make sure theyโ€™re not violating any anti discrimination laws, but the publication is their property. If it doesnโ€™t matter who places the ad, the policy remains the same - Iโ€™m OK with that.

Mike and Bob are customers, a bakery bakes cakes. If they want to buy a cake they shouldnโ€™t be turned away because of who they are. The bakery makes food, where the food goes and what someone does with it once it leaves their premises is none of their business.
They can certainly refuse to let Mike and Bob to get married IN the bakery, and they donโ€™t need to make any type of pastry that they donโ€™t offer on their menu, but a wedding cake is a wedding cake. So in this case they would be making an exception to their normal business practices (making wedding cakes) because of who wanted to buy the cake. If they sell one to Mike and Roberta, they should sell one to Mike and Bob or to Michelle and Roberta.

You bet he will, NRA spent $11 + million to support his 2016 campaign. It's always about what the donor's want, not your rights, not what you want...follow the money.

What about Muslim Bakeries refusing to bake a Gay Wedding cake? MSM and the law never went after them... why not? If it's good for the goose why isn't it good for the gander=

Will Muslim bakeries make a gay wedding cake? Surpriiiise!

Yeah. This is going to be funny to me, what I posted before. Seeing the NRA fight for gun control....of 3d printed guns, something they can't control.

Besides the earlier tweets going at Mueller, pretty much admitting there is something there. See how he's easing everybody into it. From No Collusion all day long to........Collusion is not a crime. So he'll slowing to start posting that more. Same with JulieAnni, he's been making the rounds starting to say that as well.

1st quarter was adjusted up to 2.2% + 4.1% = 3.15%. 2nd quarter didn't double b/c of soybeans.

I know and under Trump, the highest so far is 2.3% for 2017. He's got 3 more chances to beat him.

Yeah, I know. The year is 4 quarters, not 2. So at this point, and it very well may change. Obama has higher Annual and Quarter GDPs.

Be specific. What are you disagreeing with? You think Trump will change his mind and go against the NRA? And be ok with people printing guns you can't trace?

"if I did it", it wouldn't be a crime, you know like O.J.

Trumpies ask yourself why his qualified lawyers have left the building and why he has filled the hole with a unqualified political spinster. Rudy's only skill is following orders and that is exactly why he is sounding so dumb and inconsistent. Look at who's orders he is following.

That's awful big of you.

Why do you repeat these worn out lies. No one is telling people they can't buy a cake because they don't serve gay people.

"Masterpiece Cakes" are off the shelf? Each wedding cake is custom, the baker has won national awards for his artwork. He doesn't want to make a cake for a ceremony HE believes violates the tenents of his faith.

Walk down the street to another baker you self-entitled brat.

You're purposely obtuse. Thankfully, the United States Supreme Court disagreed with you on several occasions.

Looks like Trump or those who align with him, won't be getting the Koch:

Trump calls Koch brothers 'total joke,' 'overrated'
WASHINGTON, July 31 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday slammed the powerful Koch-led political donor network as "globalist" and "a total joke," rejecting the conservative group amid signs of a growing public fissure between the president and business over trade and immigration.

Trump's comments follow news media reports that some officials within the Koch donor network are concerned the president's trade policies could fuel a recession and want to scale back support of Republican candidates............
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-calls-koch-brothers-total-joke-overrated/ar-BBLiDcg

The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade. I never sought their support because I donโ€™t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more. I made.....

....them richer. Their network is highly overrated, I have beaten them at every turn. They want to protect their companies outside the U.S. from being taxed, Iโ€™m for America First & the American Worker - a puppet for no one. Two nice guys with bad ideas. Make America Great Again!

New cause celeb, panicked outrage over 3d printed guns. People are going to die.. from all the asinine outrage videos and dumb as mud thought pieces.

Any guess on how long it takes VOX to label printer manufacturers terrorist organizations? Where's the SPLC when you need them?

I actually read the tweet wrong.

NRA is ok with it. Trump isn't. I figured the NRA would be against it.

"The president has been largely silent on the matter, while gun control proponents and the NRA have largely supported the new technology. NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch said last week the so-called ghost guns, which are virtually impossible to trace because of no serial numbers and a lack of regulations, symbolize "freedom and innovation."

Because a 3d printer cost $20K, an AR-15 about $2K.

They aren't. But when you ask them to put Mike and Bob on the cake, or to attached to groom figurines to the top, you are asking for specific content, the same as with the publication. That's quite different from refusing to bake a cake because you don't approve of the person. (Interesting sidepoint: would it be OK to refuse a member of ISIS a cake, just because of who they are? Is it OK to refuse service to someone in the employ of the White House?)

If you can't force a private publication to run a particular ad, you cannot ethically force a baker to make a particular cake.

The US government will fight change the way they always fight change. By using increasingly draconian legislation to punish ordinary people who dare to embrace change.

Peer to peer file sharing, cryptocurrencies, decentralized smart contracts, 3d printers... all these things bring power to the people - and by definition take it from the government. Instead of learning to deal with the new technology and change their mindset, they will use force to try to postpone the inevitable.

3d printers will get much cheaper. The printing of guns does present some challenges. The government will fail to address them in a reasonable manner.

"CNN Sucks": Trump Supporters Shout Down Teary-Eyed Fake News Drama Queen Jim Acosta at Tampa Rally, today...
Jul 31, 2018

Isn't it amazing that a Trump hating reporter like CNN's Jim Acosta can safely report at a Trump rally surrounded by noisy heckling Trump supporters, without any fear of being beaten up?
