The US government will fight change the way they always fight change. By using increasingly draconian legislation to punish ordinary people who dare to embrace change.

Peer to peer file sharing, cryptocurrencies, decentralized smart contracts, 3d printers... all these things bring power to the people - and by definition take it from the government. Instead of learning to deal with the new technology and change their mindset, they will use force to try to postpone the inevitable.

3d printers will get much cheaper. The printing of guns does present some challenges. The government will fail to address them in a reasonable manner.

You can't make a gun from plastic that will shoot more than a few rounds. Unless you have a milling machine that cost six figures, you have to order the metal parts. It's just not practical.

Easier to buy a used shotgun from pawn shop or drive a car up on the sidewalk.

Well, so much for plastic. $250 open source CNC machine, https://ghostgunner.net/

If you can't force a private publication to run a particular ad, you cannot ethically force a baker to make a particular cake.

The difference is that in the first example youโ€™re applying a generic policy equally to everyone regardless of their race, age (assuming they're adults), gender, religion or what they do in their bedroom. In the second, youโ€™re refusing business because of who requested it and what they will do with the item they buy once itโ€™s purchased and in their possession.,

The buyer isnโ€™t asking for a cake for something illegal or promoting terrorist activities. Can they refuse to sell a cake to someone for a biracial or mixed religion marriage? A Jewish wedding? What if the buyer is a black couple? How about a white nationalist couple? Any of those could theoretically go against someoneโ€™s religious beliefs. Still just a customer buying a cake.

Atheist bakers refusing to sell a cake to anyone getting married in a house of worship?

And itโ€™s a bullsh*t snowflake excuse. If you donโ€™t carry gay-themed rainbow decorations thatโ€™s fine - tell them up front that it will just be a basic, standard wedding cake. But even if you think the buyer will burn in hell, would it kill you to take 2 seconds to write a name in icing on a cake and stick two groom figures on top?

โ€œSorry sir, thatโ€™s not one of the customized themes that we offer, but weโ€™d be more than happy to make you one of our standard wedding cakes like these shown in our brochure. Theyโ€™re all delicious and Iโ€™m sure you and your guests will enjoy it.โ€

Weโ€™re turning into a country of self-entitled whiners, looking for any excuse to avoid everything we donโ€™t personally like or agree with, even when itโ€™s our job.

It's not WHO requested it. Masterpiece Cakes was not discriminating based on WHO, but WHAT they requested.

You demand the "right" to kill a human being you're responsible for because it's inconvenient. You have no regard for the rights of the innocent person being killed. Then you smugly declare only women have a right to debate the issue.

In the next breath, YOU characterize faith as "nonsense" and demand other people provide whatever service YOU deem they should be required to provide.

You're the walking definition of an entitled liberal.

None of this is happening. How can the Government refuse a wedding license to polygamist but not people of different race?

Race is not a choice, it's not a licensed activity.

Atheist bakers refusing to sell a cake to anyone getting married in a house of worship?

Yes. Atheist have #1A rights too.

I'm so glad President Trump will be able to secure the US Supreme Court from short sighted dim wits.

Yeah, I know. The year is 4 quarters, not 2. So at this point, and it very well may change. Obama has higher Annual and Quarter GDPs.

Not until 2015. Looking forward to 5% GDP in the fourth quarter.

Liberals: Being gay is not a choice.

Liberals the next day: Gender can change at any time.

Liberals the day after: Men can get pregnant.

Doesn't change the fact. When he actually does, then it will be something. Right now he's losing on all fronts.

Obama activated, tweeting for midterms. The guy who had higher approval than Donnie same period, high approval when he left, served 2 terms vs. a most likely 1 for Trump.

Major difference is, only 1 in the pic is being compromised because they got peed on. Or colluded to help in an election. Or had a campaign manager that changed the RNC platform, now on trial for other things, probably not seeing freedom the rest of his life. etc.

Wow, just now checking Trumps tweets today. There is a lot.

7 tweets about this stuff. He's nervous as hell.

โ€œFBI Agent Peter Strzok (on the Mueller team) should have recused himself on day one. He was out to STOP THE ELECTION OF DONALD TRUMP. He needed an insurance policy. Those are illegal, improper goals, trying to influence the Election. He should never, ever been allowed to........

....remain in the FBI while he himself was being investigated. This is a real issue. It wonโ€™t go into a Mueller Report because Mueller is going to protect these guys. Mueller has an interest in creating the illusion of objectivity around his investigation.โ€ ALAN DERSHOWITZ....

..This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!

Paul Manafort worked for Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole and many other highly prominent and respected political leaders. He worked for me for a very short time. Why didnโ€™t government tell me that he was under investigation. These old charges have nothing to do with Collusion - a Hoax!

Russian Collusion with the Trump Campaign, one of the most successful in history, is a TOTAL HOAX. The Democrats paid for the phony and discredited Dossier which was, along with Comey, McCabe, Strzok and his lover, the lovely Lisa Page, used to begin the Witch Hunt. Disgraceful!

Looking back on history, who was treated worse, Alfonse Capone, legendary mob boss, killer and โ€œPublic Enemy Number One,โ€ or Paul Manafort, political operative & Reagan/Dole darling, now serving solitary confinement - although convicted of nothing? Where is the Russian Collusion?

โ€œWe already have a smoking gun about a campaign getting dirt on their opponent, it was Hillary Clinton. How is it OK for Hillary Clinton to proactively seek dirt from the Russians but the Trump campaign met at the Russians request and that is bad?โ€ Marc Thiessen, Washington Post

Trump supporters in this thread, what do you think when you read those 7 tweets?

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now,"

You can't deny that he's totally freaked, can you?

Facts, like poll results don't matter when you don't like them.

Are you talking to yourself? I posted the facts to this point, you posted what you hope to see 5% GDP. To this point, Obama has had 4 higher quarters and a higher yearly. There is nothing to debate there. I said, maybe Trump will beat it.

ha, some of the responses after Trump asked who had it worse, Al Capone or Paul Manafort:
https://twitter.com/search?q="Al Capone"&src=tren&lang=en

Capone didnโ€™t pay his taxes either
1f602.png

The main difference between Al Capone and Donald Trump is that we've actually seen Al Capone's taxes.

Al Capone was imprisoned at Alcatraz and was stabbed in the prison laundry.

Are you seriously comparing your campaign manager to Al Capone? I'm not sure how you think this is helping you

Iโ€™m no lawyer, but comparing your former campaign manager to Al Capone and claiming collusion isnโ€™t a crime doesnโ€™t seem like the smartest legal strategy.

Fun fact, Capone had the mentality of a 12-year-old and had syphilitic dementia but yet still ran a criminal empire better than Trump.

Al Capone was convicted of tax evasion, bullied in prison, suffered from dementia and died from complications of syphillis.

Traitors Donald Trump and his campaign chairman Paul Manafort scammed and ripped-off far more people than Al Capone ever did โ€” and Al Capone never conspired with a foreign power to sabotage and dismantle the constitutional democracy of the United States of America.
