Nobodyโs demanding open borders. Nobody wants open borders. We just donโt think kids should be separated from their parents in a strange place and caged. We also think if the parents ARE eventually deported, their kids should go with them. There are reliable accounts of parents being deported without their children.

And where ARE the girls? Why has nobody been allowed to see a girls facility? I hesitated to jump on this issue because at first I thought maybe the boys facilities were just getting the initial attention because people already knew about them, but the longer we go without any response the worse it looks. The administration could stop all the speculation by allowing a visit.
Among other things, these are teenage girls. At any time, 1/4 of them could have their period. Are they being provided with adequate sanitary products? What are the bathroom facilities like?
