Tariff = bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad for everyone!

Every country in the world imposes tariffs on certain products to protect their own industry from foreign competition... even Canada does it...

This is just one example from the article. The Canadian government is there to protect it's important industries from foreign competition.

I remember many years ago hearing about tariffs being imposed on Japanese steel (if I'm not wrong) that was being dumped on North America and Europe at below production costs.

This was done to gain a foothold on local markets and then later they would raise the prices, once the European and American steel factories had gone bankrupt.

Smart move by the Japanese indeed, which actually succeded in destroying the steel industry of several countries, but not funny for those steel workers that ended up losing their jobs...

There's lots to be said about tariffs. They've been around for centuries and they will only disappear when chickens grow teeth. Every country does it.

I understand your point and I agree with you, but it's the MSM's constant headlines that is bringing it out into the open and we all know that the MSM is out to destroy Trump in any way possible, so they will paint every thing he says, or plans to do, or doesn't plan to do, in a negative brush.
