45 Attacking Amazon again - Washington post must have hurt his feefees.

• Amazon pays tax as required by law. And collects and pays state sales tax as required by law. If he wants them to pay more tax, why did we just pass legislation giving new corporate tax breaks?
• They are actually USPS biggest customer. USPS doesn’t ship for free, Amazon pays for shipping.
• As far as hurting other businesses, the consumers are making the choice. Are we regulating free commerce now?

That's good. Standing up for yourself, some merchants have dropped her and now she's apologizing. Use the tools available at your disposal. The reality is a lot people/businesses only listen when you hurt them in their pocketbook.

Amazon’s contribution has been 100% reinvestment into themselves. Built in continous expansion mode and perfect timing with crazy low interest rates, and rewarded with insane valuation and increasing stock price by Wallstreet. Amazing success, but at what cost? if you listen to the interview, not paying even a fraction of taxes as Walmart. 1.4 billion in 10 years versus 60+ billion for Walmart. Sort of hard to see them taking over everything in the future and continue untaxed and pay for your police, firefighters, and IRS employees when nobody is left with a job or to pay taxes.

The USPS is irrelevant, subsidized for years by taxpayers and should have been shut down and privatized years ago. Now taxpayers are subsidizing Amazon indirectly. The Congress should vote to donate all the USPS employees, facilities and their unfunded govt pension liabilities to Bezos. Let him own and operate this mismanaged organization.

Same with the bloated broken VA, should have been privatized years ago. Give Vets the best %100 percent coverage and priority of treatment in best hospitals, and front of the line priority above all othe rest of us. VA is costing $95 billion for one year. $7.56 billion for “Medical Officers”, administrators mostly is DC, and doing what? Arguing over who gets experimental prosthetics and treatments?

They collect sales tax in all 45 states that have a sales tax for things they sell directly.

Trumps issue is "But the company still doesn't collect state sales taxes for its "third-party" platform sellers in most of the country."

They do pay an average tax rate of 13%:

Trump is going after him because he owns the Washington Post and probably jealous of how rich he is and how smart he is. Amazon is a great company. Abuse of power.
