They were already talking about higher interest rates, inflation etc. before all of this.

Well, interest rates have been kept way too artificially low hence all the hyper inflation in housing prices because people can buy bigger houses in places like CA, it's all going to come crashing down once again and sure glad I got out when I did. The Fed has continually kicked the can down the road. All stock prices are way over valued P/E's- it's a mess. Amazon at $1,500 a share- nonsense. The DOW at it's insane level everybody loves that, but it will come falling back to earth. Remember markets have no logic- it's driven by fear and greed. Period.

Interest rates they need to be raised back to a normal level like 6%, then savers will not be punished as the current system is- 0.25% interest in a savings account is an insult, so are european negative interest rates.
The savings rate for most people is unbelievably low, the american way- consumerism and spend, spend spend. Tax and more spending.

This sort of short term thinking is typical. What so many cannot see long term what damage has been done by previous administrations, even the Shark Tank people state "Way too much $$$, build it in China", I totally disagree with some non-consumer products like Aluminum and Steel, they (The big name companies) want to be service centers and distributors, but there is no employment in it.

Certainly, but how could they? They feel they are "Special". They want to be part of elite they feel they are simply because they have their face in the media. Even Warren Buffet owns Net Jets, and used it for convenience even though he is fairly frugal historically.

My concern is censorship and freedom of speech issues. Steel or aluminum or other commodities can be had from different sources... totally different things.
Everything you buy at Wal-mart already comes from China anyway.

The US is risky too. For example hosting data on servers owned by US companies is risky, even when the servers are abroad. For the NSA even the phone calls of law-bidding citizens are fair game. The Stasi would blush at the overreach of the US government.
