The NRA has an annual budget of about $350 million. They spend less than $30 million on political contributions and lobbying but have managed to purchase every Republican and several Democrats, including Bernie Sanders.

Maybe congress should hire the NRA to lobby in Beijing for the USA.

Democrat politicians ( Dianne Feinstein ) and late-night talk show host blame the NRA for every gun death in America and demand long guns like AR-15 be banned.

I think we should prosecute people who purchase illegally, run guns ( looking at you Erik Holder ) and use the FBI to disrupt and prosecute leadership of violent gangs that are responsible for the majority of murders in the USA.

And the Carrier stuff is a bit of a joke. Some PR for Carrier, a headline for Trump. We know most Trump fans never read past the headline. Half the jobs are still going to Mexico. It's only 850, not 1,000 that are staying. Taxpayers will have to pay for those incentives. Now other companies will probably want those type of deals. Pence being in Indiana helped move that one along.
