Mad enough to call / email your representative in D.C. and demand they pass health care reform?
President Trump's order only ended a subsidy that was found to be illegal by a supreme court. Presidents are not supposed to make budgets, congress is.
I've been for reform of the EXISTING program all along. A bipartisan effort to fix what needed to be fixed and keep what was working would have been fine. More efficient than starting over, given that a framework is in place. The GOP has done everything they can to hamstring it and cause failure. Dropping subsidies directly led to a jump in premiums, but it's not the only thing they've done to sabotage it. 45 is the poster child for a sore loser who's determined to undo anything with his predecessor's name on it just for spite.
45 has already done plenty of things "presidents aren't supposed" to do, so that excuse is in the crapper.
Then there's the threatened "tax reform" - who's that going to benefit? If they get rid of local /state tax deductions we'll all be double taxed and the middle class is going to be the ones getting crushed. It's going to be especially bad for us in states where those are high to begin with - property taxes here are around 5-10x what you would pay, let's say, in Missouri. Meanwhile, the 1% get a big break. Woohoo!
Cutting Medicare /Medicaid for the new budget - who's that going to benefit? Won't hurt that "special" 1%, that's for sure. BTW, the new budget will ncrease the deficit - wasn't the original point to avoid that?
45 is lining his own pockets, GOP are along for the ride to push their own agenda. With a few exceptions, none of them give two craps about the citizens they were elected to serve..
As for draining the swamp, we've now got the Koch bros and the crazy Mercers trying to run the show...
Quote and rant away, I'm going to enjoy my weekend.
