What do you mean by this?

You went out of your way to write that something ominous was going to happen. Seems fair to ask what you are predicting.
"Something ominous" doesn't have to be a sudden event. I'm referring to a gradual progression (I was going to say 'slow' but that may not apply) which often can be even more nefarious. This build-up of military grade vehicles, arms and fashion accessories signals that either the dreaded "police state" is on the U.S. horizon, or at least it gives such an impression. Either case makes for a very weary public (unless folks enjoy control by authority and/or community imprisonment) in my eyes. If all these "toys" are sitting ready-to-use, I'm fairly convinced that a high percentage of LEOs are just chomping at the bit to use them. And they already are. I'm not necessarily implying that police forces are waiting to use them on the general populace "because they can". Yet the possibility remains. Add to that drones and surveillance ("spying" if you will) technology and the picture becomes that much more dreadful. But are we living in a more dangerous society today -- in defense of this "offensive" build-up by law enforcement departments? Well, yes and no. I don't think that gives PD's a pass. That's why there are already armed forces and the National Guard.

I'm not really too interested in an extended discussion on this subject, but I figured that I at least ought to provide some clarification. I should probably know better than to chime in on a political thread.

Is there an official NSA smiley?

I looked, couldn't find one. Found some tin foil hat ones:

Maybe this for NSA

Or somebody can make Snowden into a smiley.

They'll probably come around and delete this post too. When I was working out just now, my dog was looking at me funny. Sometimes I hear him bark at night, I think he's up to something. I think he might be a plant.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not watching you.

Now the thread is complete. Just posted about my dog watching me and somebody with a dog avatar posts. I think HeyNow removed my prior post.

This could be the official song of this thread and you can shake your booty as well. Oh wow, I just noticed, look at the video, another dog.

-post removed by NSA-

Dear NSA, or whomever knows about this,
Is there any way at all to know that you (your laptop, phone, etc) are being hacked and spy'ed on by both government or private party?

That's not true.

First, little guy didn't steal anything. There is a reason why the police didn't arrest him, they addressed this already. Big guy took the stuff, handed some of it to little guy, little guy puts it back, if you watched the video. From watching the video, I don't have much doubt that this was the first time he stole something or used his size to intimidate somebody.

The confrontation might have happened regardless, since they say it started with them walking in the middle of street or something.

There's conflicting reports as to whether the police officer knew of the theft in the store.

Did he know or find out, did he see the cigars and make the connection?

Then, you just can't shoot people 35 feet away with their hands up. But that's the only information we have now, besides people saying there was some scuffle in/by the police car. We're missing anything from the police officer. What if he says, there was an incident, guy starting running away but when he turned around, instead of having his hands up, he made a motion like he had a gun. Then that would be a different story.

Basically, nobody can really make a judgement on the shooting since we don't have all the facts yet. We haven't heard from the officer, no video of the event.

Also, I think it's pathetic the police just stood there last night and watch felonies take place. They're now too scared to do their job because of possible backlash. And tonight there is a curfew from midnight - 5AM. What's going to happen if people break that curfew? Are the police going to arrest them? Allow looting but don't allow breaking of the curfew? So, we'll see how that plays out.

Saw this just posted, talking about Brown turning and running towards the officer. Always another side to the story. Still waiting to hear the officers side. But right now, that's 2 people saying he ran towards the officer.

For the rioters and looters it makes no difference why or how Michael Brown died, but it does give them a good excuse to go out and get some free stuff.

New evidence, new videos makes no difference. The truth doesn't matter to them.

Just keep this in mind.
Years ago, and still doing it today on contract basis...
Son was one of the main programmers for voice than image recognition.
He has told me just how good these are now.
Scary people!

If the store owner acts in self defense and shoots the first dozen or so looters, they might prevent the looting, but then of course the local community will shun them for maiming/killing the looters. And, of course, the justice system will then prosecute the store owners rather than the surviving looters. Either way they pretty much lose their business for doing nothing wrong. But hey it's not about justice, it's about more free stuff for the generational welfare recipients.

Al Sharptongue... the biggest instigator of all, followed closely by Jesse Jackson. They both call themselves Reverend.... I never understood why :(

Guess there are going to be three autopsies. Not a lot of trust. The one from a few hours ago shows he was shot six times--four in the right arm and twice in the head, one of which was through the top of the head. It appears for now the shots weren't at close range...no gunshot residue, but it also appears the medical examiners may not have had all of the clothes to test.

California Solar Panels Burning Birds Up 1 Every 2 Minutes...

http://www.newsmax.com/TheWire/birds-igniting-california-solar/2014/08/19/id/589672/

I wonder how many birds a coal mine kills every 2 minutes. I wonder how many birds an oil field kills every two minutes.

"The water inside is heated to produce steam, which turns turbines that generate enough electricity for 140,000 homes."

That's awesome. If they can fry birds up in the sky, must be pretty powerful, you know it's working.

But let me know when it's start killing humans, bad affect on the environment, shortening people's lives etc

"In 2008 the World Health Organization (WHO) and other organizations calculated that coal particulates pollution cause approximately one million deaths annually across the world[5] which is approximately one third of all premature deaths related to all air pollution sources."

1,000,000 humans - coal
0 humans - bird fryers

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_the_coal_industry

And sooner or later the birds will smarten up, see what's happening to their buddies. It's how species progress.

I'm eating chicken later. Had some would could have been babies yesterday, scrambled.

"you've got to crack a few eggs to make an omelette"

This is just Darwinism in effect. If you know anything about me, I love my AC. If I was a bird flying around and noticed it was getting particularly warm, I'm taking an alternate route. This just fries the dumb birds, leaving the smart ones behind. It'll produce a better bird over time.

U.S. journalist James Foley beheaded by ISIS
http://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/19/world/meast/isis-james-foley/index.html

Seems like those stone age barbarians are really enjoying themselves by beheading anyone who's not Muslim. There are thousands of sickening, unbelievable photos and videos taken by these bastards all over the internet showing
beheadings and other unbelievable barbarities.

Actually, they've beheaded plenty of Muslims as well, a lot of Shia Muslims. The guy that did this one is British. I do agree with you that those that are doing it are like "stone age barbarians"
