Sorry Gilsan, but you have no clue
First of all, you constantly depict gays/lesbians as if it was an homogenous group of people. There is as much diversity among them than in the rest of society. Each and every person is unique. You can't see that, because your own judgement is clouded by stereotypes and prejudices.
Second, you are afflicted with a siege mentality, like there is an evil group of people out there that is conspiring to hurt you. It's obvious you are scared.
Ignorance => fear => hatred.
How old are you, were you told too many sad boogeyman stories at night :ghost:
Third, it's not a matter of choice, people were born this way. You can't change people. Likewise, cats are not expected to bark because you prefer dogs over cats. Get used to it.
Check out today's news from Poland:
'Gays should be made to sit at the back in parliament'
You see, it's the very same religious bigots spouting the same nonsense:
"a minority cannot impose itself on the majority".
But at the same time they think their own Catholic values must be enforced upon the whole of society. They indeed are 'tolerant', but it's the one way type.
Also an admission that minorities can and should be recognized,
but not be granted equal rights. That's what we are talking about.
There was a time when:
women were denied the right to vote
colored people were denied the right to vote
colored people were denied the right to mingle with white people
interracial couple were denied the right to marry
...
because, according to the most conservative fringe, that would destroy the fabric of society.
The very same point that the homophobes are making today, thus keeping the 'spirit' of discrimination alive :imho:
In some countries, same sex marriage has been a reality for years and it's a non-issue. Now I am waiting for Gilsan to show me how those nations are crumbling. For example, I would like to hear from newly wed couples how they feel now that the value of marriage has been devalued :gl:
