Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I think one of the better interviewers around now. He has grown up and often calls out the BS, even though he is still very much a liberal/socialist at heart. His interviews are much better than Joe Rogan's because he asks more intelligent questions and listens better. Glenn Greenwald, Jimmy Dore... several honest liberals. In a sane world we would be arguing against them, In an insane world it doesn't matter whether you are conservative, liberal, anarchist or whatever... it just matters than you are not insane.

They threw this guy in jail for speaking out. Par for the course in a banana republic.

Nice to see him back - hope he isn't destroyed by the fascists. @Cannuck His point is where I fall out with your narrow focus on the environment. We can forget about the environment if we see fascism, authoritarianism and war win out. Only healthy and functioning civilizations with a social compact (non-coerced) can deal with the environment.

I like Jordan Peterson. A behavioural psychologist not a climatologist, he say's politics isn't everything. When important societal issues such as climate change become politicized, they're either embraced or polarized. Coupled with other global crises, it becomes too big a bite for most people to chew. Without a healthy and functioning environment, civilization cannot function. Climate change is bigger than politics.

Yes, and the politicization of absolutely everything is a sign of the insanity (if not totalitarianism). How the heck did which medicine you take become political? That's a medical decision. The politicization of science is dangerous to all. After Ivermectin, what next? Will insulin be another "right wing conspiracy"? If I take penicillin, will that make me a Trumper or a Woker?

Without a healthy and functioning society, the environment will not be treated well. Environmental issues have been heavily politicized, mostly by those with Marxist leanings. Conservatives have always been (surprise) conservationists. The hijacking of conservation by those who use it as a vehicle to promote Marxist ideologies is the only reason conservatives appear to be "against" conservation. So certainly, basic common concerns as the environment shouldn't be politicized. These are issues that people need to work together on, while politics seeks to divide.

The politicalization of medicine is nothing new. Take cannabis for example, the public has been lied to all along, now with legalization (recreational), corporations have raked in huge profits from what used to be alternative medicine. Even Nancy Reagan went against the grain with stem cell research, while George Bush put a kibosh on it. Politicians and science don't mix.

A healthy and functioning society ought to turn down the thermometer when it gets too hot... but much of the the population will do nothing until they feel it in the wallet. For many people, to do anything will require a cognitive shift, and that's an even farther stretch. The market must play a role.

In Canada environmental protections have systemically been weakened by the Conservatives... having learned from and immitating their southern cohort.

During the 1990s, the Republican-controlled Congress attempted to roll back key environmental laws including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. When their frontal assaults were rebuffed, the Republicans resorted to dirty tricks. Instead of directly targeting environmental laws, the Republicans attached anti-environmental riders to laws that enjoyed wide bi-partisan support, such as omnibus spending bills or payroll tax cuts. These riders were buried deep in lengthy pieces of legislation that few politicians were likely to read, and their obscurity made it difficult for environmentalists to generate public opposition.

The story is the same in Britain and Germany

The Marxist ideology has been in the US for several years .. just not talked about much until after the Plandemic started .. now it’s full tilt and out in the open … I still scratch my head over these people wanting ideologies from the 1800s .. I gave society far to much credit

Clearly the people that voted for Biden got it way wrong. The country is in chaos from the border issue, spending, jobs, foreign affairs…

Between Joe and Kamala our leadership is a disaster. Nancy is nuts too!

I think you struck a chord: respect your body, respect the planet. Also, a healthy body has better ability to fight viruses. Is it any wonder the modern US diet contributes to both?

Only 12% of the American population has optimal metabolic health, 88% does not.

Excellent response from a SkyNews Australia journalist to young people who recently demonstrated about the climate:

′′ You are the first generation that has demanded air conditioning in every courtroom; your lessons are all computer-made; you have a TV set in every room; spend all day using electronic means; instead of walking to school, take one fleet of private vehicles clogging public roads; you are the largest consumer of consumer goods in the entire history, constantly buying the most expensive clothing items to be 'trendy'; your protest is advertised by digital and electronic means.

′′ Guys, before protesting, turn off the air conditioning, walk to school, turn off your phones and read a book, make a sandwich instead of buying packaged food.

′′ None of this will happen, because you are selfish, ill-educated, manipulated by people who use you, proclaiming that you have a noble cause while playing around in the most unbridled western luxury.

Wake up, grow up and shut your mouth. Inform the facts before protesting ".

I agree, you gotta walk the talk. The problem is many people have no idea what they can do, nor do they possess the will or understanding to navigate that path. It's not a life of convenience, fast food, nor instant gratification.
