Robert Mueller: Roger Stone remains a convicted felon, and rightly so

The work of the special counselโ€™s office โ€” its report, indictments, guilty pleas and convictions โ€” should speak for itself. But I feel compelled to respond both to broad claims that our investigation was illegitimate and our motives were improper, and to specific claims that Roger Stone was a victim of our office. The Russia investigation was of paramount importance. Stone was prosecuted and convicted because he committed federal crimes. He remains a convicted felon, and rightly so.

Furthermore, Mueller wrote: โ€œRussiaโ€™s actions were a threat to Americaโ€™s democracy. It was critical that they be investigated and understood.โ€

I think people like Mueller are a far greater threat to America's democracy than Russia. All Russia can do is try to plant fake news and rumors, basically the same thing the USA has been doing to every country in the world for decades (including Russia).

But Mueller can destroy the country from the inside, from a seat of power.

So you're saying the US ought to do away with Founding fathers' political checks and balances?

Agreed the Mueller investigation was a sh*tshow. Aimed at understanding Russia's role in the 2016 election, Trump's involvement was merely a sideline. What has truly been revelealed to the American public, is how their president will use the power of his office to protect himself (and his inner circle). Trump is a demagogue that the Founders designed the Constitution to protect against.

What checks and balances? Unless you are talking about checks written out to cash, and bank balances?

What has truly been revelealed to the American public, is how their president will use the power of his office to protect himself (and his inner circle). Trump is a demagogue that the Founders designed the Constitution to protect against.

I agree that Obama greatly abused his office to protect his inner circle, and I only see that getting worse. Demagogue? Not really. I see nothing out of the ordinary except that Trump is blunt, vulgar and doesn't lie so smoothly as previous presidents.

If one looks at the facts, the actual actions, not much has changed under Trump.

I also disagree that the Mueller sham was "aimed at understanding Russia's role in the election." It was aimed at unseating an elected president. No more, no less. The Dems have no objection to foreign influence in elections, as long as they believe it is helping them.

Take off those rose colored glasses. Our political leaders are almost all criminals. None but a handful of them are there to serve anyone but themselves.

A system built upon three branches of government to check and balance one anotherโ€™s powers. Trumpโ€™s personal constitution is deeply at odds with the restraints demanded by the U.S. Constitution.

Trump pardons Stone - a man who lies under oath to Congress to cover-up - see any conflict of interest issues?

Obama commuted the prison sentences of 330 federal inmates, particularly drug offenders, on Thursday, January 19, 2017, his last full day in office. Obama did so, as one of his final acts in office, in order to reduce what he viewed as overly harsh punishments.[8]

Demagogue is a subtle term for him.
Not much has changed under Trump.
yeah right... give the Trump Party four more years.

I would say that applies to both Democrats and Republicans, but especially the Trump Party.

In Rare Public Comments, Mueller Defends Prosecution of Roger Stone
Breaking his silence, the former special counsel rebutted President Trumpโ€™s attacks on the Russia investigation and said Mr. Stone had been prosecuted โ€œbecause he committed federal crimes.โ€
Mr. Stone has been prosecuted because he signed articles like this, triggering Mueller's personal grudges:
The Uranium One Treason: Why Robert Mueller Must Be Removed And His Partisan Hit Squad Dismantled
Muellerโ€™s decades as an establishment federal careerist, which only ended with his ceding of the FBIโ€™s top job to his good pal, criminal leaker and manipulator Big Jim Comey, offer more than enough grounds for Muellerโ€™s disqualification for merely the appearances of impropriety and professional conflicts of interest they raise. They are of such incestuous nature as it concerns key figures of the conspiracy to remove the president that Mueller should never even have been considered for appointment.
That Mueller took the special counsel appointment without even blinking, despite his own close professional and personal connections to key figures implicated in the Department of Justice, National Security Agency and FBI corruption in service to ulterior partisan ends, via the Clinton crime family, was a major red flag, right from the beginning.

A system built upon three branches of government to check and balance one anotherโ€™s powers.
The balances no longer work as intended when the system is rigged, everyone knows that Roger Stone was tried in a kangaroo court, some links to read in case you guys didn't look into it at the time:

Roger Stone jury foreperson's anti-Trump social media posts surface after she defends DOJ prosecutors
[Tomeka] Hart even posted specifically about the Stone case before she was selected to sit on the jury, as she retweeted an argument mocking those who considered Stone's dramatic arrest in a predawn raid by a federal tactical team to be excessive force. She also suggested President Trump and his supporters are racist and praised the investigation conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which ultimately led to Stone's prosecution.

It appears that the jury in the Roger Stone trial was tainted
From beginning to end, Robert Mueller and his squad used Roger Stone as an object lesson to frighten anyone who had high-level contact with the Trump campaign in the lead-up to and immediately after the election. Stone is not a savory character, but the treatment meted out to Stone, now 67, had a revolting aura of police state hanging about it from the start. Now it turns out that this un-American police state set up a kangaroo trial to shuttle Stone into prison.

Notice How Democrats are Never Indicted?
Apparently, in America today the only people who should fear prosecution are those who disagree with the โ€œones weโ€™ve been waiting forโ€ because if youโ€™re a Democrat, you canโ€™t get arrested in this town.

4 Reasons the Roger Stone Trial Matters
In the early stages of jury selection, Judge Jackson has made it clear that a potential juror could harbor hostility toward President Trump and sit in judgment of Stone on this politically-charged trial. Jackson immediately warned Stoneโ€™s legal team that federal employees who worked for Obama could not be excluded from the jury pool.

That's some high functioning empathy showing there, wishing for the victim of a sham political show trial to go to the very prison from which pedos and sex offenders have been recently released out of fear of the virus.

Obama pardoned unrepentant terrorist. Bill Clinton not only pardoned people for money, he pardoned more FLAN terrorist than Obama!

The most controversial: Oscar Rivera, convicted in 1981 on charges of seditious conspiracy, robbery, and transportation of firearms and explosives charges. Actual domestic terrorist and traitor.

Here is list of cop murderers, terrorist, traitors that Obama gave clemency.

Rodger Stone was prosecuted because he worked for the Trump campaign. Period.

Aye, Florida just broke a U.S. record, most cases in a single day. If they were a country, they would be 4th. We're now #3 in the U.S. in number of cases. I think we have a good shot at being #1. If that rate continues, we should be California in about a week, New York by the end of the month.

Florida shatters US record of single-day Covid-19 cases

The Florida Department of Health reported 15,299 new Covid-19 cases Sunday, the highest number of new cases reported in a single day by any state since the coronavirus pandemic began.
