Trump says what most believe really believe,,,enough with the freaking debates already!
I was on the debate team in high school and we never got marshmallow questions like political debates get.
Two ways to look at the whole nominee for the supremes thing:
They are doing their job.
Democrats seem to forget their hatchet job on BORK.
Or they should hold the hearings and then filibuster.
So what does the Constitution actually have to say about the matter? Not a lot: "[The President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint ... Judges of the supreme Court." The provision creates a power โ and perhaps even a duty โ in the president to make a nomination, but it does not give him a right to have his nominee confirmed or even considered. That power lies with the Senate.
