You don't think Americans were fighting each other during the Civil Rights Movement? Protests against Vietnam War? Imagine if we had internet/social media back in those days. A lot of your posts are America is going to crumble, the end is near type stuff.

Not bad, but not anywhere near this scale of one half of the country against the other half. It's funny, because the people living in an empire are almost always the last to notice it is collapsing. People held on to their banknotes inn Weimar Germany to the bitter end. The Persian Empire seemed eternal, and then in the space of 100 years its existence was almost forgotten. They most hold on for a good while on inertia alone, then collapse relatively suddenly.

It's not apocalyptic nonsense, but a simple fact of nature. People live and die, populations rise and collapse, civilizations do the same. Every civilization and empire in history without exception. One has to be way out there to think that the USA will be the exception. Especially since it is already following a road well travelled by previous collapsed empires.

The USA is on an unsustainable path, doesn't matter who the president is - that is highly unlikely to change. And the people are mostly frogs in a pot of slowly warming water.

And some Antifa is not anywhere near the scale of anything just posted.

Just saving this for kicks and future reference:

Yet, here we are. Really, this whole thread you've been Mr. Drama Queen, overly dramatic the U.S. is going to collapse. I think in your head when you're writing this, you imagine you're writing some profound stuff but it's really just low grade Nutterism.

Minneapolis Antifa Chant: 'Save a Life, Kill a Cop'

"Save a life, kill a cop," shout Antifa extremists after the Trump rally in Minneapolis on 10 Oct. 2019. The man wearing the "I Stand with Ilhan" shirt can be seen here. He was recorded shortly after choking out a Trump supporter trying to get his hat back.

Just maybe he is starting to see the light.....lets hope (y)

He saw it previously. He was a pretty strong critic, especially before the election. Then there was a golf weekend and overnight he mysteriously became a fanboy.
Now his old self seems to be back, at least partially. Interesting.

Basic history, though I suppose even basic truths sound either profound or nutty to the unaware. Like I said, I try to help you out, but you are too vapid and full of yourself - and apparently too busy to pick up a book or to even think. Not too busy to call people names like "nutter" though.

So, I'll leave you here. You are right. The USA will be the first empire in history not to collapse, even with endless debt, endless war, half the nation dependent on drugs and government handouts, zero historical education, and overbearing law enforcement and corruption. Only a nutter would think there is a bad future there.

Foxโ€™s Neil Cavuto Challenges Trump-Boosting Colleague: โ€˜Do You Fault the President for Anything?โ€™

Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto on Wednesday confronted one of the networkโ€™s most loyal Trump defenders, dismantling Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrettโ€™s latest pro-Trump book that asserts the president is the victim of an ongoing โ€œwitch huntโ€ by the so-called Deep State and Democrats.

As Jarrett promoted his new book on Cavutoโ€™s show, the pro-Trump pundit immediately remarked that his hostโ€™s copy of the book was marked with a โ€œlot of yellow Post-It notes.โ€

Cavuto, meanwhile, went on to note that Jarrett focuses much of his bookโ€™s attention on blaming the media for the purported witch hunt against Trump, which Jarrett claims the Ukraine scandal is part of. After the Fox analyst claimed the media was โ€œlazy,โ€ suffer from a โ€œliberal bias,โ€ and โ€œshoot from the hip,โ€ Cavuto wondered aloud if Jarrett could say anything negative about the presidentโ€™s behavior and tendency to lie and misspeak.

โ€œBut do you say that the president does not sometimes confuse people?โ€ Cavuto asked. โ€œHe says something and then says something else?โ€

Jarrett tried to deflect, complaining about reporters accepting โ€œintelligence leaks,โ€ prompting Cavuto to press again.

โ€œI get that, and you well-researched that and documented with great detail, and it is impressive,โ€ the Fox anchor noted. โ€œBut do you fault the president for anything?โ€

Pausing for a moment, Jarrett responded that the one thing he can fault Trump for was hiring Jeff Sessions as his attorney general, something he added Trump himself has said he was wrong to do.

Cavuto, who is one of the rare Trump-skeptic voices on Fox, further confronted his colleague on Trumpโ€™s lies and flip-flops on payments he made to women he had alleged affairs with, causing Jarrett to shrug that off. The host then moved on to Trump attempting to get a foreign leader to dig up dirt on a political opponent.

โ€œWith the Ukraine situation, when you look at thatโ€”now you are the lawyer, I donโ€™t know what is considered a high crime or misdemeanor, might not fit the case hereโ€”is it proper for a sitting president of the United States to talk to a foreign leader about involving himself in a campaign?โ€ Cavuto asked.

The pro-Trump Fox personality, however, took the opportunity to make an argument heโ€™s made in the pastโ€”that Trump was "duty-bound" to ask Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his family if he believes a crime was committed, and it would be a dereliction of his Constitutional duty if he didn't. (There is no evidence Biden or his son did anything illegal or wrong in Ukraine.)

After a bit more back and forth, Cavuto eventually tried to get Jarrett to admit at least one thing: Doesnโ€™t it โ€œlook badโ€ that Trump pressed Ukraine to investigate Biden?

โ€œIt looks bad to Democrats,โ€ Jarrett said. โ€œIt does not look bad to me.โ€

This gentle but telling confrontation comes on the heels of a network civil war between the Fox news division and opinion hosts and commentators, which recently spilled out on air. Earlier this month, amid these clashes, longtime anchor Shepard Smith announced he was departing Fox News after 23 years.

Looks like Cavuto and Wallace are that last two voices of reason over at FOX.

If you post Nutter stuff and I call you a Nutter, then it just makes me correct. I would be more worried about your country that has twice the suicide rate of America. Not such a great place if people are offing themselves that much. Again, America is pretty diverse and we get thru things, like I said, he we are. Really think of the history of this country and all the things we've gone thru. Nothing that is happening now compares.

Side note, if you have a date in mind of the collapse, can you let me know? Year, month, whatever you have, so I can get ready. Is it the same as hurricane prep? Like water, generators, batteries, fill your car with gas, that kind of thing?

There you go again. When the heat is on, you go "what about Japan?" A country of which you know nothing, but it makes you feel better to compare. Japan's suicide rate is 18.5 to the USA's 15.3, and because US life insurance doesn't pay out for suicides, the USA is almost certainly higher than reported. That's a far cry from twice, isn't it? And that seems to be the only place the US has the edge. Murder rates, deaths through drug abuse, life expectancy... the US is far worse on all counts. Be careful there.

I am curious why you just cite some statistic without taking even a moment to verify if what you are saying has any basis in fact. Do you always do that?

http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/suicide-rate-by-country/

Yes, the US is diverse. Unfortunately, diversity is not the panacea that your education and media teach you it is. In fact, referring once again to history, diversity is often the cause of horrible civil wars. Societies that are all diversity and no commonality are a mess. The Democrats are foolishly working to eliminate any common concepts of values among Americans, and touting "diversity."

Yes, diversity is a plus, but only if it is paired with a cohesive society where most people agree on certain common values. All countries "get through things"... until they don't.

Here's another link... a list of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world....

https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/most-ethnically-diverse-countries-in-the-world.html

Papua New Guinea, Congo, Tanzania, Uganda and Liberia round out the top 5. I hear Tanzania is not too bad...

Sorry, no dates for you. I identify trends, not dates. The same as with investments. Trends are reliable, dates are not.

Thanks for the updated suicide stats, last time I checked it was higher. Japan still worse than U.S. tho.

American collapsing isn't a trend, again, it's just nuttery, no matter how much you post about it.

Little fact check on crime :

"Using the FBI numbers, the violent crime rate fell 49% between 1993 and 2017. Using the BJS data, the rate fell 74% during that span."

"U.S. property crime rate today is far below its peak level. FBI data show that the rate fell by 50% between 1993 and 2017, while BJS reports a decline of 69% during that span."

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/01/03/5-facts-about-crime-in-the-u-s/

Again, we've had impeachments before, life went on. We've had worse times in this country, not sure why you keep skipping that, or why it keeps going over your head. We moved forward. The guy you support happens to be corrupt, so it's going to get handled.

Their presence was more than enough to keep them from slaughtering woman and children.

There is a good thread about this from John Haywood. Turkey claims Kurds in Syria were helping PKK terrorist.

We have two air bases in TK, one with nuclear weapons. A lot of questions not being asked in the rush to condemn President Trump's quick decision. Thread is an interesting description of a complicated situation. Worth reading if you interested in more than proclaiming "orange man bad".

Three key questions about Syria no one seems to be asking or answering:
1. Are the Turks lying about the security threat from Syrian Kurds?
2. Were the Turks going to attack even if U.S. troops remained?
3. Was the U.S. expected to garrison that part of Syria forever?
https://twitter.com/Doc_0/status/1184804755429871622

A couple of take-aways, UN is not condemning TK. NATO reaffirmed TK's solid standing.

John Hayward
The problem is not that Trump wrote that odd letter to Erdogan. The problem is that NOBODY ELSE WROTE ANY LETTERS TO ERDOGAN. This should not have been Trump's decision to make. Where was Congress, NATO, the UN? They were nowhere, doing nothing of importance. /end

You're insufferable. Again... I said President Trump made a short term mistake. Trying to discuss / understanding what the real situation is shouldn't be an opportunity to throw crap at each other.

If you don't know what questions to ask, you're not going to learn much.

Corrupt media has reported Kurds abandoned prisons and let 11,000 daesh fighters go free. Talking heads wring their hands, claim ISIS will be reborn.

I have a hard time believing Kurds or Syrians would let any daesh fighters leave their prison alive so they could face them on the battle field latter.
