Can someone tell me why his 4 adult children / spouses were there and how much American taxpayers were paying for their trip and accommodations? It was a state visit, not a family theme park vacay.

I dont dislike Tiff - she’s doing something with her life and for the most part staying clear of the family circus - but dayum, girl! All I’m saying...

I don't mean to ruin your morning with a taste of truth but you just wasted so many minutes judging the appearance of an entire family who D.G.A.F about you or your judgemental opinions.

The wine is pretty good too. And Portugal sounds fairly accommodating to retirees.

The food is fantastic and very affordable, the weather is mostly great, except in the North of Portugal where temperatures can sometimes drop to -8C in winter.

Except for the 2 main cities, Lisbon and Porto, accommodation is very affordable. The country has one of the lowest crime rates in Europe, though admittedly it has been rising in the last few years, thanks mostly to an influx of illegal immigration.
Internet is reliable and fast and the people are super friendly. Definitely one of the best places in Europe to retire or to holiday.

And naturally Madeira is even better in every aspect than mainland Portugal...

We had a great time just driving around, then staying in Sintra. One night we stayed at Tavira in the south. I was walking down a very quiet and narrow old street at night with nobody around and saw two teenagers walking towards us. One was flicking a butterfly knife open and shut. My wife was talking and not paying attention. My mind was racing. I scanned the street but saw no points of escape, so I was thinking about how I could defend us. They passed us by, still flicking the knife, without a pause. He was just playing with his knife without thinking about the effect it might have on people. I remember thinking how innocent it was that he thought nothing of playing with his knife that way in that situation.

Sintra is beautiful. Tavira is in the Algarve region, with lots of tourism, thus attracting some bad elements, with bad intentions. Madeira also has lots of tourism, but has an extremely low crime rate, were you can walk around, day or night without feeling stressed or in fear!

How long ago were you in Portugal, for that innocent episode to happen?

I am becoming convinced that they aren’t seeking any justice at all and it never has been about seeking justice.

Since the very night Clinton lost the Presidency, the Democratic Party started beating their chests, every minute of every day after that they have done the same. They picked up immediate alliance with the media, protests began the day after the election.

By them doing these things they have only informed the people of their motives, agendas and ulterior motives.

Which will have failed them horribly in 2020 as I think they have only opened more eyes as to why they lost in 2016 and are most likely squashed as party at this point.
