We do have a lot of debt and are currently spending a lot more than we take in in taxes...

As of the end of last year, US had over 20 trillion in debt, with China being our biggest foreign lender.
Federal deficit is on the increase due to the tax cuts, etc. It's expected to be a little under 800 billion for this year, and CBO projects it to hit 1 trillion (and 4.6% of our GDP) in 2020.

But I'm sure there are more definitive and detailed answers out there!

US needs to have debt.. According to the current model foreign banks need to have dollars to be able to buy oil, so they need to have dollar reserves, usually in US treasury bond form (which earn small interest). Those bonds are what US owes to other countries and considered as reserves by foreign banks. How would US pay that debt: print cash. But the East doesn't accept this system anymore. As long as US dollar is in demand worldwide, it doesn't matter whether US has debt. US can devalue that debt by priniting more, and can buy aything. Would it be better for US if US had no debt and say India and Japan had no dollars to pay eachother and use gold or their own currency as payment instrument; no, in the current (old) system, this would mean dollar is not needed. This system is ending. I expect some transition but not a collapse. There seems to be some global deal, and old rulers seem to be very angry about it.

“Liberals have” “conservatives have”...

Pffft!

From what I see in this thread, there are folks who claim to be “conservatives” who let their feelings govern them, object to science, make up their own facts, turn a blind eye to ethics when it’s in their interest, and can’t reason or hold a civil discourse especially if there’s any disagreement.

I’m not saying it’s “all conservatives.”

My point is that assigning labels to large diverse groups of people and making assumptions based on these artificial labels is illogical, unscientific, non-productive, and simply ridiculous.

Charlie Kirk has a reasoned debate with feminist protesting Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
https://www.mrctv.org/index.php/blog/liberal-protestors-get-way-too-angry-when-confronted-facts

P.S.

Every liberal journo in D.C. beating the bush for dirt on Brett Kavanaugh and all they have are liberals accusing him of throwing ice in a bar fight.

Police report doesn't even say Brett threw ice.. only someone said he did. CNN connects this to being the type of person who would rape someone.

Sen. Lindsey Graham: Have the vote. If BK loses, re-nominate him and let the voters decide.

Did Ford lie about seeing Mark Judge in Safeway weeks after the alleged assault in 1982?

There's only one Safeway in Potomac, MD

Here is the store number of that Safeway and the date it opened which was 1986.
Safeway Inc.
Number: F02229219 | Type: Foreign Corporation
Company is located at Fourth And Jackson Streets Oakland Ca 94660
Incorporation: 1986-11-03
https://corporationexplorer.com/md/safeway

From article on Medium.com:
September 30, 2018, 11:28 pm

Two new pieces of evidence convince me that Safeway did indeed exist in 1982 in Potomac Village.

1. Washington Post article dated November 20, 1980 discusses Safeway 1980–83 “expansion plans” for the DC metro area, which includes MD.

“Safeway now operates about 125 units in the Washington area.”

Safeway Opens East's Largest Grocery Store
To the plaudits of D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, Jr. and exclamations from neighborhood customers -- such as "it's so big"…www.washingtonpost.com

2. George Webb interviewed a local resident (of Bethesda, MD), “Raj,” on video. Resident says he remembers the store being open back then.

https://medium.com/@DrDannielle/there-was-no-potomac-village-safeway-bbe277bd1169

Rando person being interviewed says he moved to area in early 80's. He can't remember his friends 36 years ago but can remember CB Ford and who her boyfriend was. Near the end of interview, he admits he is just repeating what he's read or heard from others..

Common thread in this debacle, liberals repeating rumors as evidence.

Ohhh.. Another hole, and perjury for Dr Ford. She must have the worst memory.

https://www.redstate.com/streiff/2018/10/02/christine-fords-statement-yet-another-huge-sucking-hole/

TL;DR
Ford's statement:
I had never told the details to anyone until May 2012, during a couples counseling session. The reason this came up in counseling is that my husband and I had completed an extensive remodel of our home, and I insisted on a second front door,

Reality:
Palo Alto city records show that a building permit for an additional room and exterior door was issued to Ford and her husband on Feb. 4, 2008 — more than four years before the May 2012 therapy session where, she says, she first identified Kavanaugh as her attacker.

Other documents, including health care-provider registration records, reveal that a marriage counselor listed Ford’s home address as her place of employment, ostensibly using the extra room and door for her clinical practice. That marriage therapist, Sylvia Adkins Randall, sold the home to the Fords in 2007, but continued to maintain the address for her business.

But BK ( allegedly ) threw ice across a college bar.

Updated: “Potomac Village Safeway” Did Exist In 1982, But Numerous Concerns Remain Regarding Dr. Ford’s Testimony
The controversy continues online as to whether there was or was not a Potomac Village Safeway in 1982. I am now satisfied that there was, based on the two sources appended to the end of this article.

Your own sources just admitted there was. I Google what you posted yesterday, guess what sites came up? 4 chan. You still getting played.

I quoted the original source for the statement, then the source for the correction with attribution.

How are you so f-ing stupid.

Own worst enemy.

Donald Trump's Stormy Daniels story just keeps collapsing

"The news that President Donald Trump personally directed then-personal attorney Michael Cohen to seek a restraining order against Stormy Daniels to keep the porn star from telling her story of an alleged affair between the two is the latest example of just how little of what Trump and Cohen initially said about Daniels is actually true."

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has told Harvard Law School he won’t return to teach there in January, as he faced growing opposition from students.

“Today, Judge Kavanaugh indicated that he can no longer commit to teaching his course in January Term 2019, so the course will not be offered,” Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs Catherine Claypoole wrote to Harvard Law students in an email last night, according to the Harvard Crimson.

Trump Engaged in Suspect Tax Schemes
as He Reaped Riches From His Father

NEW: Russ Buettner, David Barstow and I got our hands on a massive trove of confidential docs - including 200 tax returns - from Fred Trump’s empire. We found Donald Trump received hundreds of millions from his dad, some of it via fraudulent tax schemes.

Last Tuesday on National Voter Registration day. A record 800,000 people registered to vote!

For comparison, the last midterm election, the number was just 154,500.

Congratulations to all the new voters and to all the groups and volunteers working the registration events. I wanted to volunteer at the one near me, but too many work deadlines. Next year.

(If you’re lurking and reading this thread but not registered to vote, the cutoff in some states is as soon as 10/7 - so register today to make sure your voice is heard.)

I disagree. USMCA treaty will create a trade block to offset China's influence. When Trump and I say America first, it's a rejection of globalism.

America is an open democracy. Keeping America strong is the best protection against predatory marxist countries like RU and CN.

You can't crap on America because we're loosing influence one day, then crap on America because we're re-negotiating treaties to protect ourselves and blunt China's influence the next day.

You gaslighting sob. I posted the source for a previous statement I made, then the correction with a link to the proof I was wrong; because I made a mistake.

You have a fit, make an ass out of yourself and then sub-post another insult. You're not only stupid but dishonest.

Plus, I heard the lawyer on TV say if Dems get the House, they can subpoena the IRS for Trump's tax returns. We're going to get them.
