The Northโs official KCNA news agency said Washington was โmisleading public opinionโ by claiming the denuclearization pledge was the result of sanctions and other pressure.
The United States should not โdeliberately provokeโ the North by moving to deploy strategic assets in South Korea and raising human rights issues, KCNA said, citing a foreign ministry spokesman.
โThis act cannot be construed otherwise than a dangerous attempt to ruin the hardly-won atmosphere of dialogue and bring the situation back to square one,โ the spokesman was quoted as saying.
The two Koreas own this. The agreement is the result of NK and SK playing nice, and probably pressure from Russia and China. Trump is last to the table, the meeting with Kim is a largely token gesture that mainly benefits NK by elevating Kim to the status of a world leader.
