Actually I first saw it as an index finger, not middle finger.

Weird.. I wonder if it's even "real" as I've seen a similar photo circulating via email of a terrestrial cloud with nearly the same "digital" quality.. I'll see if I can relocate that one and post it.

Reminds me of when I was younger. I would sit for ages with my grandad making pictures out of clouds in the sky
