Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

Generic word .tel I think i.e. doctor.tel.

I think GEO names, as well as good generics....

I have configured my Dashboard...added some info... but, when I type the address into my browser.... Nothin!!!

Monikers' up

My .Tels at Moniker are up and running... just not resolving yet.

They did a good job in coordinating the management of all of your .Tels in one account. Once you're finished working on one, you can simply hit the drop down menu and all of then other .Tels are there to be worked on without loging out and back in again to manage another domain. A big time saver if you have many of them to work with.

Disappointing that such mistakes can be made - I'd be interested in knowing what your registrar has to say about it. I do recall somebody else on this thread commenting that another member had claimed to have successfully registered the same domain as one of his during landrush.

I believe that was I. Interesting story about that too. It looked like someone else had claimed the same domain i had been told I won by the registrar, but as it turns out the registrar had actually registered me a typo :) fortunately as it was their mistake they were honorable enough not to charge me for it.

Typo!! LOL, I believed that would be the first typo for dot TEL.

hello people, i back my account was closed due to some reason but i am happy to get it back and finally getting a chance to speak to you all.

.tel is officially launched on major registrars. and i got all my .tel domains i wanted or had in my list.

name.com might resolve in 24-48 hrs when you create an account thats what they said as for the DM i think it wont be before 12th.

i really liked the point of this one person who said the address changes to something else instead of domain.tel i think they should work on this as if in starting Search engines grab those other words it will take for it to resolve back to its existing or normal thing.

anyways i m very happy to be back and i hope you all are as well with your great.tel domains.

the issue was solved as i was punished for it for 14 days not being here anyways i m here now and hope things go good as i have understood the rules.

Great to hear..
need some more teeth in your deal $109 X 3yrs = $327
$327 is avg deal...

Still trying to discover why abq.tel is showing the proxy page in the address bar. Where as emma.tel does not.

Followed by why alt.tel is not resolving at all for me.

.Tel domains will not start resolving for regular consumers until around March 23rd 2009. This is due to the fact that most registrars are still active on landrush period.

Have you noticed that all of Telnic example domains are still resolving just fine:

http://largeco.tel/
http://SmallCo.tel/
http://celebrity.tel/

Let me know if I can help any of you,

Thanks,

Wow, so be resolved or not resolved. It depends on registrar, then.

I was able to access your .tel very fast. Looks very professional.

My question to Telnic: do you expect to develop a system that will display the URL as http://Hull.tel instead of http://s0.webproxy.nic.tel/lookup/hull.tel?

In other words, is this proxy address a temporary thing?

I think it makes a different on how Google will index .tel.

I hope you will address this here on Namepros.
