Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

nice UK geos

my most recent regs were 5 geo UK .tel domains

CALDERDALE.TEL
THURROCK.TEL
KNOWSLEY.TEL
HAVANT.TEL
TORFAEN.TEL

At only 110 geo names in the UK with populations of +90k, this represents about 5% of the total stock.

i've put them up for sale for anyone interested

population wise its a combined total of over 700k of the UK population, available to buy for less than the cost of a landrush registration.

I wonder how myspace members will benefits having .tel as all firstname most common lastname are taken. We will probably see some .tel like we see with gmail, hotmail... ex: johncraze.tel, paulgeek.tel .... because numbers are not allowed in .tel will be very limited can't get john123.tel, this could not be good for telnic marketing.

Dear Mr.Justin,

Users of the. Tel, we found several problems :

We can not validate the site in google, sitemap or there, or we can redirect from ( http:// to http://www ) .We can not specify a title or description, and no language can make.
Although the template is ready for a load very fast on mobile devices. Able to insert a picture, personal or corporate logo, a few kilobytes would be very useful for domains and distinguish.
Could be much more attractive and competent and it would be good to have several templates to choose color.

I take this opportunity to greet sincerely.

i agree
the names were always going to go as they're the best application imo, and well, domainers will always be domainers

the number thing is weird though, why oh why they didn't allow that, i'll never know

I think the uniform look for a .tel is important. No logos, no titles or descriptions.
Might not be the prettiest but people will know what to expect when they go there.

Numbers are certainly allowed in .tel but must be with a combination of letters as well, this makes total sense, if you could just have number, then you might as well just have original phone numbers, this way there is no confusion as to what .tel is trying to achieve in a words for numbers approach. All first names and last names being taken was always going to be an obvious problem, so nicknames and name and number combos will obviously become the norm, like hotmail email accounts I suppose, but that doesnt stop a .tel being less easier to remember than a whole string of numbers on a ph number.
P.S. I see hire.tel is now at auction with a $3,000 bid, it's a great name too, to think I only offered $500 on namepros for it before it went into sedo, was a bit on the low side in hindsite, hehe. Congrats on getting a good bid. :santa:

You can register names containing numbers, (such as John123.tel).
The only thing you can't do is reg names that're entirely numerical, (such as 310298.tel).

I've just registered 80 triple premium LLL.tel's.
I hope I know what I'm doing.

Yes, you can add numbers to a .tel domain, but you can't have ALL numbers.

So you could have John123

It's not that surprising, in fact Im surprised your surprised... that's a super premium short name. There have been a huge number of regos taking place with this domain, so the best names are going to be pricey. I think it may go for a bit more than the current bid by the end.

There is certainly some mileage to be had in cashing in on euphoria. Most new TLD's have a period of excitement where good revenue can be made in flipping.

Well, I thought I was spent, until I realised that if I ever sell James.tel, I might need a backup so I registered my initials jce.tel just now.... then I found a few others I couldnt resist:

dales.tel (for my dad)
contender.tel
gypsy.tel
judas.tel
blur.tel

Who says there aren't any good names left? Oh that was me, lol. ;)
remember, you might still be able to grab your names with an s at the end, it actually sounds almost as good, for eg: neils.tel is still available.

I now occupy 7 out of 10 spots on Google for the keyword URL HotelSuites.tel

The following sub-domains are indexed on the same page:

1. HotelSuites.tel
2. las-vegas.city.hotelsuites.tel
3. discount.hotelsuites.tel
4. bed-and-breakfast.hotelsuites.tel
5. executive.hotelsuites.tel
6. honeymoon.hotelsuites.tel
7. five-star.hotelsuites.tel

What's the advantage: Indexing 'HotelSuites.tel' in this manner will allow online users to just pick a subcategory from 'organic page results' as opposed to manually clicking through a .tel site.

Google in effects acts as a universal search tool for the .TEL framework!

Whooa Hoo!
