Ladies and Gentlemen, I do believe we have found Jeff a Soul-Mate...
Kath has
always been an experienced, informed and insightful, and
balanced poster here on our beloved
#1 Namepros ... a
true professional in every sense of the word, IMHO. :music: :hearts:

To all mobi bashers who say .mobi is dead, RIP etc.. can you please explain what you mean when you say an extension is dead?
IOHO's, for the
volumes of reasons and explanations that I and others have been raising here (including this thread!) for some time, Paul. We can go over these, again, one by one if you'd like ... but it's been
glaringly clear that NO ONE - not one single soul - from the "dot Mobey" camp truly wishes to
adequately address and discuss (in an intelligent, forthright, balanced, and professional manner) these reasons and concerns that have lead to its certain demise, IMHO.
Chronologically, if you wish, we can
begin with mTLD's bumbling and fumbling ... specifically with regard to the
abandoning of the RFP process and further NON developments from the
failure to enforce the firm development mandates from the auctioned domains! 1,000's upon 1,000's of "reserved" domains still, to this day, languish at mTLD control and ownership while the much larger and unrestricted
Mobile Webโข rapidly expands and evolves ... which is evidenced by advances in mobile devices (based, in part, from users' and buyers' wishes for an UNRESTRICTED and FULL web experience while "on the go"), browsers, and auto detection capabilities and capacities, IMHO. :gl:
The #1 question of the Fall '05 ... was "when will there be a .MOBI "default button"?!??" 2005.

The question of Spring '06 was, "specifically, how will mTLD promote the extension?!?"
What happened to the
developed, stand-alone, "ecosystem"?!? Where is the
critical public awareness for the "dot Mobey"?!? :red:
Thanks for any insight ... and if you should feel the urgent need to post more unsubstantiated hype (a la Arnie), spam drivel (a la Bocavision) and personal attacks (a la Mjnels and Hawkeye) rather than
actually addressing the very real reasons and concerns, please do so
elsewhere where that type of immature and unprofessional behaviour is tolerated, if not encouraged, IMHO.
Best regards.
-Jeff
