It is better if you can reg both my friend, i am and was stating the .co.in is the main domain of India at present, the .in extension will catch up in popularity but in time.

A lot of the serious .in and .co.in investors like myself have invested heavily in .co.in aswell.

There's a very large English-speaking population that continues to grow there given the markets over there and availability of labor forces. That's why English names are popular and doing well.

I think english domains with .in extensions are popular because the .in ext. is such a nice clean one. Also there are quite a few Indians that also speak english. I also know for a fact that Indian-Americans will type in site.in instead of site.com simply because they are looking for more legitimate and targeted information.
