@dna Please quote things in context. Mr Paul is not a lawyer but he is a senator and long time politician and son of a politician - you would think he would be familiar with what impeachment is, and realize that there is no “trial” until it hits the senate.

If he does know this, he’s deliberately making a misleading statement to incite people who do not.

So either he’s ignorant about something someone in his position should understand (or at least research if they don’t), or he’s deliberately making a false statement.

You can argue “moron” if he’s just ignorant, but if he’s deliberately misleading people, I stand by a*hole.

PS - if I were discussing this with him face to face, I’d refrain from the labels and ad hominems - they’re not productive for having a conversation. Which is why I rarely bother to answer certain posters in this thread.

The lies the left tell themselves. One guy cheered violence against Glenn Greenald, by a right wing fascist no less. Yet he believes Greenwald (who risks his life to fight real fascism in Brazil) because he doesn't jump on the crazy Russian bandwagon and... get this, he goes on the Tucker Carlson show!
Honestly, these peope are well beyond reason, and I am afraid they are a growing political base in the US as it heads for economic headwinds.
If the economy crashes before the election, look for more lunacy.

It was in perfect context. You insulted someone and then you said that you insult someone
if you don't have anything meaningful to say. In other words, you insulted Mr. Paul because
you don't have anything meaningful to say. I am sure that you can
insult someone and yet have something meaningful to say. But, you said what you said.
Also, moron means low IQ and ignorance means a lack of knowledge.
Moron is an insult. Ignorance may not be.
And if Mr Paul was deliberately misleading people, that would not
make him an a*hole, it would make him a CNN anchorman.

You’re still not taking my remarks in context - either you didn’t read my reply carefully or you’re twisting what I said to change the narrative.
I made that statement in the context of talking TO someone, not talking ABOUT a 3rd party that is not part of the conversation.

Buh-bye.

I point out to you reality, identity politics is with both parties and doing a song and dance for a racist President is pretty ridiculous.

Shorter: People making social media to support President Trump is racist.

Economy will be fine unless the democrats win. Then the stock market will likely contract based on the expectation of much higher taxes, more regulations and less growth, opportunity. China will try to dictate trade, Iran and North Korea will demand money.

Bernie Sanders Vows to Stop Deportations for Thousands of Convicted Murderers, Sex Offenders
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is planning to halt deportations for all illegal aliens in federal custody, including those who are convicted murderers, sex offenders, sexual assailants, and drunk drivers.

In his national immigration plan released this week, Sanders — who once disavowed open borders and endorsed more detention space for border crossers — is now vowing to halt the deportation of all illegal aliens currently in deportation proceedings in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody, regardless of their criminal history.

In any given year, more than 6,600 convicted murderers and sex offenders are arrested by ICE and placed into deportation proceedings. Under Sanders’ plan, those criminal illegal aliens would have their deportations halted, allowing them to remain in the United States for an extended period of time.

Bernie is now guaranteed 100% of the votes from illegals convicted of murder, sex offenders, sexual assailants, and drunk drivers...

Is Rand Paul a moron or just a manipulative a*hole?
He tweeted this about impeachment::

Paul is neither. You're repeating things you've read on social media or heard on tv.

"House Democrats Violate The 6th Amendment By Denying Trump A Public Trial"

1) There is no “trial”. They’re investigating whether or not there are grounds to impeach. It’s like a grand jury determining if there’s cause for an indictment.

Grand jury proceedings aren’t public. That’s so witnesses can speak without fear of retaliation.
The constitution isn't suspended because a House committee chairmen decides it's not convenient. This isn't a grand jury, this is a investigation with special rules written by the majority leadership.

Most of the block buster testimony leaked so far has been hearsay; 2nd, 3rd party. Amb. Volker 'assumed" a lot of facts. Let's look at what we know to be factual:

1) Schiff opened the "investigation" with a lie.

2) Schiff staff met with the whilstleblower, his source and several other witnesses before the whistleblower complaint was filed.

The whistleblower lied on his report about meeting with Shiff's staff.

2) If there is a trial, it will take place in the Senate. The GOP controlled Senate.

All of the processes are laid out in our laws and Constitution. Rules governing the inquiries were last modified but Boehner and voted in under a GOP majority.
Stop pretending this is some type of fair legal process. House rules allow everyone to view testimony, that hasn't happened. Precedent let's witnesses bring legal counsel. These special rules prevent that.

I don’t think Rand is a (total) idiot, but apparently he thinks that you are. Prove him wrong.

There's another possibility.

To read the transcripts, Sen. Grahm would have to visit the House and read them in the presence of a democrat handler. The published transcripts are basic opening statements and soundbites that support the narrative.

Special democrat rules.

Rape Statistics By Country 2019
Rape is unlawful sexual activity typically involving sexual intercourse done forcibly or under threat of injury against a person’s will. Rape is a worldwide problem.

It is estimated that approximately 35% of women worldwide have experienced some form of sexual harassment in their lifetime. In the majority of countries that have data available on rape report that less than 40% of women who experience sexual violence seek help. Less than 10% seek help from law enforcement.

The ten countries with the highest rates of rape (number of incidents per 100,000 citizens) are:

  1. South Africa (132.4)
  2. Botswana (92.9)
  3. Lesotho (82.7)
  4. Swaziland (77.5)
  5. Bermuda (67.3)
  6. Sweden (63.5)
  7. Suriname (45.2)
  8. Costa Rica (36.7)
  9. Nicaragua (31.6)
  10. Grenada (30.6)
South Africa has the highest rate of rape in the world of 132.4 incidents per 100,000 people. According to a survey conducted by the South African Medical Research Council, approximately one in four men surveyed admitted to committing rape. Although the Parliament of South Africa enacted the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act in 2007 attempting to amend and strengthen all laws dealing with sexual violence, the rates of reported rape, sexual abuse of children and domestic violence have continued to rise.

The United States has a rape rate of 27.3. As in many other countries, rape is grossly underreported in the United States due to victim shaming, fear of reprisal, fear of family knowing, cases not being taken seriously by law enforcement, and possible lack of prosecution for the perpetrator. Only 9% of rapists in the US get prosecuted and only 3% of rapists will spend a day in prison. 97% of rapists in the United States will walk free.

http://worldpopulationreview.com/countries/rape-statistics-by-country/

Sweden... who would have imagined, 20 years ago that Sweden would be #5... and climbing every year!

The problem is that 75% of the Swedish population is sooooo deeply brainwashed in PC, that they can't see that the reason behind this astronomical climb in rape stats is thanks to illegal Muslim invaders that they've so graciously allowed into their country... without even questioning their
background!
