...nothing probably...

It seems like the era of easy profits is ending - I think the 2015 and beginning of 2016 will be remembered as the most insane and illogical time in domain industry history.
Where most were taken over by some kind of bizarre "mass hysteria" - buying the most worthless junk (like xszmq.com or 13881.ws) because of a one word: "BUYOUT".

Should have remembered this story:

What do you think? Are you panicking yet? (I'll be honest - I am :P)

It's really hard to tell, I actually think that sales would start picking up and gain before the bubble bursts again.

There is also a possibility of considerable turmoil happening on a global scale with multiple economies collapsing and threats of a possible WW3. There are so many things happening all around the world at the moment and so many possible outcomes.

But we had global turmoils for the last few thousands years. So let's skip that topic for a second.

I think currently we are in the dark what will happen next.
The logic went out the window in 2015 - so I think right now most are totally confused because it's hard to predict anything.

It could go either way - up or down.

And the worst part - I don't think anyone here feels like we control anything - it's all up to some faceless, mythical ChineseInvestorโ„ข
We are just pawns it somebody else's game.

Lol, you hit the nail on the head with "We are just pawns it somebody else's game" - This my friend is the harsh reality. I was aware of this right from the onset, when the Chinese market started to boom. I have said it before and I will still stand by it. Domaining is not different from any other financial market, it can be manipulated, it will be manipulated and the majority of the people involved with the market, even the "experts" will have no clue that they are being used as pawns. :) - Yes, we are all pawns but it helps if we know that the market is being manipulated and controlled instead of assuming we are able to speculate and predict the outcomes or whats going to happen in the market place.

The past era of domaining that consisted of acquiring the most nonsensical garbage domains as just past. This will never happen again as most of the garbage has been registered and will slowly drop as owners realize that there is little or no enduser market to make it profitable.

The difference between domain markets and the financial markets is that financial markets are regulated and market manipulation is illegal.

Domain trading is not regulated and market manipulation is not illegal.

The domain market is also very small compared to major finanical markets and can be manipulated more easily. It doesn't take that much funds to do it.

This will never happen again as most of the garbage has been registered and will slowly drop as owners realize that there is little or no enduser market to make it profitable.

I think it will be around September when things will get really ugly.

This is true but manipulation is rife even though it's illegal. Yes these markets are huge but they can still be manipulated.

One example why I think this growth can not be sustainable.

In extensions like .in, .pw, xyz ect. there are most LLLL and 6N registered. That is 1 million per extension. Who is going to use these?

We are just pawns it somebody else's game.

We're not pawns. We're domain shareholders. HOLDERS. Intelligent investors diversify within a portfolio. Domaining is not different.

.XYZ Has been approved by China and this is why all 6N are registered. Great end user potential for great paterns!

.PW is not approved and was bought out as well including some others. That was the point that I was making, the buyout in the last year had little to do with fundamentals.

yes but there's another reason why .XYZ was bought out.
