Former P2P LimeWire.com Domain on Auction
LimeWire.com was a peer to peer (P2P) file sharing service that was founded in 2000 but was seized in October 2010 due to an injunction by a federal judge according to Wikipedia.

The domain name that housed the website is currently up for bids in an expired domain name auction here. At time of publication, the current high bid is $1,035 with the auction ending on August 31, 2016 at 12:04 PDT.

July 27, 2016 the domain name reached its expire date and has not been renewed this time around, so it has followed the registrar expired time frame and is now up for public auction.

There appears to be at least one (1) active trademark for LimeWire which had a 6 year courtesy reminder sent in 2015 but nothing has been posted to the TM since that time.

The domain clearly has a storied past to it, potential TM issue but bidding is active already with 9 different bidders and the auction only about 2 days old out of 10. You can view the auction if you wish to watch or bid.

That's a chance to own a piece of Internet history right there.

What do you think it will close at?
