Public Service Announcement Re: Former Owner of Zaptic.com

I acquired Zaptic.com about a month ago at GoDaddy auction after it expired.

HOWEVER, the former owner, located in Japan, was using the Zaptic.com domain as the admin email and has neglected to change his contact email.

He needs to change his email contact ASAP; fortunately, I am an honest person who would like to see the details corrected, so that he doesn't lose his property due to invalid Whois details.

His name is Daichi Hayashi.

He has an offer on a domain, and it would be nice to bring seller and potential buyer together.

No, but I did try to help the buyer by offering some options.

He tried sending a message via Facebook; I don't know if the former owner answered or not. The Whois has not changed.

I also got in touch with my rep asking if they could get in touch with the former owner and let him know his contact details are incorrect. My rep says that the only thing I (or the potential buyer) could do is file an invalid Whois, which sounds kind of icky. I want to HELP, not harm. I have a feeling that the expiration of Zaptic was unintentional and that something must have happened to the former owner: illness, accident, death. I have the name for sale (placed on my site before all this happened), so I may put it on temporary hiatus, until I find out what happened.

I did tell the potential buyer that filing invalid whois was an option, but he seemed reluctant as well. He just wants to buy the domain, not cause problems.

He's located in Ashiya-shi, (city),Hyogo (Province).

I have temporarily placed Zaptic.com in a temporarily "Not for Sale" status.

I would like to see the Whois resolved ASAP.

I wonder if this had been an accidental expiration...
