Domain expired, at auction but website still active

Can anyone explain this?

I have a domain that is in Godaddy auction, its expired ( verified via whois) but the website never went down. It never went to a parked page. still a few more days left of auction and the price is above barely above $30.

I just dont understand why the hosting is still active after all this time. Its not hosted with godaddy.

Im confused....
