.tv The BIG Sedo auction is not so big

The efforts by people last week to get names into SEDO obviously didn't go that well, however, there are still some 15 names available, the majority of which are ending today:

If you did get a name in auction, good luck, but I feel there has been such little publicity on this one we may see some very low prices:

More fallout (and uncertainty/confusion with the new "pricing structure") ... from the recent Sedo ".TV" auctions? :red:

Don't understand that one jeff - the names I put up are all standard and it says so in the sedo description.

If you are talking in more general terms, then possibly you are correct.

Trying to get as many names on auction at Sedo as possible isn't going to do anything for values, it just looks desperate. Let the market settle rather than trying to blow hot air into it.

^ Correct, and I'll post further thoughts & updates in the coming days IMHO. :gl:

Good Luck,

I'll have a word with Rick Latona and the TRAFFIC boys about your concept of NOT putting large numbers of names up for auction.

Seems to be a little flurry of last minute bidding activity. That's nice. :)

I thought the sale was pretty good considering that I was a little 'out there' as I placed some good names hoping many others wold join and had a very lonely week.

I had far higher hopes for Casablanca than actually materialised- but $1399 is still a good price. The winner is from the US, not Europe as I would have imagined.

Sadly, I am still left with the last name of the bunch - Leicestershire.tv at a miserable $309 and an end time of 5am in Leicestershire itself. Dumb dumb dumb!

I think we can see that the value of TV has risen considerably - but would I put another name in auction in the next few weeks? .......hhmmm!

One good thing from this is that if everyone pays up I will have covered my initial outlay for the 200-plus reg-fee gold and landrush names I acquired.

Jimbo,

Still worked out OK, and a good ROI for you. I vote you for .tv domainer of the year, since I can't vote for myself:) (lol)

Just to let everyone know, the final .Tv name in my little grouping, Leicestershire.Tv went for a really low $651 at 5am this morning.

From what I can gather, someone cleared the competition, then left a bigger bid overnight - but someone actually got up at 5am and took the name. (Uk winner)

They got such a bargain - and as the saying goes... the early bird really does catch the worm.

Jim - As I happen to be the present holder of that high honour I don't think I am eligible for entry again. How about I vote for you (or Aussie Jeff) instead!

But who knows what would happen if he overcame his legal reasons and started down that path.

After all, Snoop's got closer to a 100 .TV names than he has to zero!

Ken - I did send Jeff a PM (yes, I did what he requested and PM'ed first) asking him to confirm whether he was an Aussie like Snoop, so we'll know the answer soon.

Crocodile Jeff - .TV Domainer of the Year

That's got quite a ring to it.

Make no mistake...I don't care if he has NO .tv names at all...I will cast my vote for CROCODILE JEFF...and it rings like a school bell!

The amount of time and concern he puts in this forum for our benefit here demands recognition.

Back on topic (as there is a separate thread for .TV "domainer of the year" input);
What were the final auction results of the 15 or so names that had been available and should have ended sometime y'day (and were some/most of them owned by members here)? :talk:

Thanks kindly,
Jeff B-)

Jeff

I'll gladly give you the complete answer to that one if you simply confirm whether you are an Aussie or not?

Or is it the case that ANSWERING questions is harder for you than ASKING them??

That's hysterical Jimbo, no Jeff is from the New England area, New Hampshire I believe.
