I am currently at a crossroads as far as domain parking goes. I have most of my names at Sedo but I recently started an account at Fabulous.com and now I want to get more involved at Afternic. Which one should I park all my domains with because I am betting that parking all my domains (close to 400) with the same company will yield the highest return.

Which one should I use?

Sedo has been ok since I like the monthly payment via PayPal and I have sold a few names through them.

Just started using Fabulous.com and like the fact that you get a sale when somebody buys a product due to your site. Not made a great return yet, but I still have my best earners at Sedo. They also have no commissions on sales.

I used Afternic in the past for parking but not since they added the PPC revenues. Anybody had success with that yet?

Fabo och Sedo is the best, but gambling and stuff is best at fabo cause Sedo uses google that have banned casino and gambling sites.

Payout wise there is no competition. Fabulous blows Sedo & Afternic away hands down. Not just Gambling traffic but across the board. You are comparing pennies to dollars. Not to mention you there are extra payout features such as sales, leads etc.. Fabulous also does not hide bid prices and you can check them real time at Roar.com

Can you provide metrics, based on your statement it seems like we are dealing with 100-200% or better payouts. This would seem like a lot. Perhaps you can elaborate on this pot of gold you discovered

In theory wouldn't google and overture have higher payouts since they comprise the largest section of PPC? Does roar focus on specific verticals like gambling/adult?

Thanks .edu :). Leaning towards Fabulous because it has outperformed Sedo over the same time period.

Still no votes for Afternic? Wow, I thought it would at least get one or two. How long has it been doing the PPC model?

Riceman, you can check current bid prices at http://roar.com

Question - why not just signup directly for Roar, and get 100% of the PPC clicks, instead of working thru Fabulous and giving them a % of your $$?

Hmmm thats a good question. How would you handle the actual parking though? Never tried that, so I dont know.

IMO, different PPC provider converts different types of traffic well.

Eg. Fabulous dont allow you to choose a related category if that domain is a foreign domain name. Sedo wont list your domain if it has UK trademark.

Some domain do better in a PPC than the other. So my suggestion is to use various after you have test the domain.

No comments for Afternic because i dont intend to use it.

Just thought I'd clear something up.

Fabulous and Roar are owned by the same company, so Fabulous does not take a % of traffic revenue and has a direct relationship with the ppc advertisers.

Thanks for the insight :).

I wonder if any of the members have used Sedo or Fab's parking JUST FOR the new tld (.info/.biz) names and if so what are the results like. I've heard that you don't get much revenue with the new tlds no matter where you park them. Is that true?

Sedo is pulling out ahead :) I have most of my domains at Sedo Simply, because it seems the easiest of them to use. ALthrough I am trying another one or two shortly.

Yep, Fabulous took a pretty good early lead too besides the fact that most people are just talking about Sedo lol.

can someone please answer that?

I thought I did answer it? :)

- Fabulous & Roar are owned by the same company - Dark Blue Sea limited, a public Australian company.

- It is not possible to sign up directly with Roar, and nor is it necessary. Being the same company, Fabulous does not receive any cut of the revenue from domain traffic and is set up to monetise domain traffic on behalf of Roar. The revenue from all clicks is split between Roar and you the domain owner 50/50 (or 75/25 if you have elected to have your domains optimised)

- Because Fabulous & Roar are the same company, Fabulous has a direct relationship with the ppc advertisers that fund your domain revenue. There is no extra intermediary between you and the advertisers taking a slice of your revenue like most domain parking providers.

Hope that helps clear things up. :)

Also I don't want to be seen as someone here just promoting Fabulous. I try to post only when somebody has a genuine question or is unsure of something to do with our products. We try to provide the best customer service, and my presence at namepros is hopefully a welcome extension of that service.

Cheers

Thanks, Kris, for the explanation. Is the same true for DarkBlue ads? On DarkBlue, it appears possible to signup as direct affiliates.

Also, how can we signup as an advertiser on roar pages?

HI All

I personaly use sedo and have not tried Fabulous yet, I got an invite to try them but have been reluctent to move my good earning domains from sedo to another ppc.

But I have setup an account with DomainHop.com and parked some of my older and later domains with them and I am very happy with the results right now..

One of the things I like about DomainHop.com is they do not just pay you for clicks but also for each visitor/impression for your domains... So even if your visitors do not click on a link on your parked page you still get some kind of a RIO.

And it really adds up if you have a good amount of domains parked with them,....

I found that moving some domains from sedo that were only showing a few visitors on sedo are now showing many more visotors on DomainHop.com ( I have no Idea why that would be so. )

The good thing about Sedo is the amount per click is pretty good depending on the domain and the keyword used for the domain...

So over all if you have a domain parked with a ppc company that is not making you the kind of income that you are happy with move it to a new ppc company and test it there to see if it gives you better results.

You will find the more you test the more you will make over all...

But it really does depend on the size of your domain portfolio.

Thanks
Tom Dahne

Yes Apollo it is the same for DarkBlue.com. By signing up for Fabulous, you automatically get access to DarkBlue CPA programs for use on your domains.

If you wish to run banners on developed websites, you will need to sign up for a seperate DarkBlue.com account.

To advertise with Roar.com, you should sign up at https://secure.roar.com/signup.htm.

Let me know if you have any questions.
